The libyans and iraqis received small numbers of tu22 blinders in the 1970s,but because of their limited range they`d barely be considered "strategic",tho they could carry a fab 9000 bomb [9000kg]

Tu-22 is not strategic bomber.

i agree with you about missile power sir but missile power is something and air force is something else . its not about gulf vs iran but my concern is iran must have at least 100 new fighters now .

Tu-22 is not strategic bomber.

That would depend on your definition of "strategic".For instance it falls somewhere between its faster us cousin the b58 hustler and its slightly older and slower british counterpart the avro vulcan in terms of speed,its payload is around the same,but its combat range is inferior at around 2500km.The blinders range is around 30% less than its predecessor the tu16,but it is supersonic so you would expect that as that tended to be the trade off with the more powerful,but more thirsty,turbojets of the era.Ultimately its certainly not in the same class as the heavyweight strategic machines of the cold war era,like the sub sonic b52 or tu95 or the supersonic b1b or tu160,that we tend to think of when hearing the term "strategic bombers",but its performance still puts it towards the bottom end of the medium supersonic bomber class of its day.

Tu-22 is same class as Su-34. Su-34 replaces Tu-22.

iran should get some better passenger planes first something like advance wide body b777 b787 a350 a380 . and then iran should got some decent fighter jets first other sides are using f-15 f-16 f-18 f-35 now and iran is struck in f-14 and mig-29 some 1970 era planes . then you guys think about a bomber . who will save bombers from enemy without modern fighter jets ?

What's the use of Boeing 787 or Airbus a380 for Iran I can understand something like A350 but not those two.

And by the way why you believe f15 and f16 and f18 are more potent than f14 for intercepting enemy aircrafts ? Because their 15,16 and 18 are higher than 14?
