Should General Raheel Sharif stay?

I think this man should stay. He is a true patriot and must stay till things stabilize. The thought of him leaving in a year makes me sad and I want him to take extension and stay in power one way or another. When I discuss it with friends they say even if offered extension he won't take it because it might put his credibility at stake. But no matter what I want him to stay atleast till CPEC is functional. Your thoughts?

You're analysis is off point here.

Nawaz and Raheel have a good working relationship and i see no reason why Nawaz would want to sever that. You forgot that RS could have easily toppled NS a year ago but he didn't.

Nawaz will offer the extension, whether RS takes it, i have no idea.

Our history tells us people have gone easy when given this position. I'm not saying all of them were wrong but may be its the position and power that gets to you and you go easy and let things happen. He is the first man who is taking action against every wrong thing. Not sparing high ranked army officials as well. So for me he is different and best man for this job. These are not just words we are seeing results everyday. I don't know when we'll get a man like him at this position again.

General Raheel is doing great job. He has undoubtedly raised the morale of this nation by confronting terrorisms but we should not be dependent on personalities. Let the institutions grow and learn from their mistakes. I am sure who ever comes after General Raheel will follow the footstep of his predecessor. Govt can use General Raheel' s expertise in some other role once he retires.
