Bangladesh has independent foreign policy. In some respects it has demonstrated more independence than the Pakistan. For. Ex. Bangladesh never allowed india to use Bangladeshi airfields to bomb its own population.

I think we need to look at the bigger picture here.

BD is now in an economic boom as GDP growth has reached 8% and rising - most major economic organisations predict BD to be the fastest growing large economy in the world till 2030. BD wants good relations with India as it needs access to it's markets, where exports have already surpassed 1 billion US dollars and growing at 50% a year. India is also allowing imports of 1GW of electricity and has agreed to allow W Bengal, NE, Nepal and Bhutan to tightly integrate with BD economy and BD suddenly has consumer market that has gone from 170 million to over 300 million.

Those two Chinese subs are not that much when you compare to the 8 next-gen frigates that will be built in BD up to 2030 - these will probably be the most advanced and powerful frigates in the whole of S Asia. Around these 8 frigates there will be other assets that will create a Navy that will deter India from trying any attempt to blockade BD sea lanes in the future. We never know when BD and India interests will diverge.

As you can see BD'shi children do better than White natives, Pakistanis and Blacks of the two groups.

This is already translating to BD people taking up positions in law, medicine, science, engineering and also politics as well. In a decade the income of BD'shis in the UK will also rise relative to other groups to reflect the good education achievements.

BD'shis and Pakistanis in the UK are doing just as badly as each other and at the same level as blacks in the UK in household income. This is not cherry picking but real stats from just a few years ago. Now the average BD'shi and Pakistani man in the UK earns more than a black man as the black man is more likely to be in a 2 income household. This is normal in UK Muslim culture.

What will propel BD'shis even higher than Pakistanis is that they are already doing much better academically than Pakistanis and can grow a bit more as Pakistanis came to the UK in the 1970s and BD'shis in the 1980s.

No-one cares about your internet searching of "stats" from countries you know nothing about. I have seen the reality in the UK and within 10 years BD'shi men will be up there with Indian men in both academic and work achievements.

I think its better to deal with one type party of India rather than many uncertainties. What's really India's characteristic and true face that can be determined that way. BD govt has nothing to do here as long as long as they (India) keep their affairs inside their country. As far as Congress is concerned it wasnt helpful to BD at all. Starting from water distribution to border killings. As far as I can remember there were many border related incidents and push in attempts during Congress time too, also poking in BD affairs. Same goes the past WB Govts too. Not much helpful regarding water issue and they dammed the Ganges too. Notable thing is their ideological Red also turned Saffron, tells a lot what are they inside. Imo there is no difference between Congress and BJP, both actually work for the deep state. For example this time Congress left the election for BJP to win by not making enough efforts and alliances, many places divided the votes to other strong forces; so that BJP can win. So BD shouldnt worry about India, just try to learn Indian characteristics and watch out for Indian influences in BD.
