Should Bangladesh worry about the Indian elections?

There are many reasons i could elaborate here but that would make me extremely unpopular. Barak valley and lower Assam districts already had a very high population density which decreases the scope(increases competition) for available jobs and other resources. The immigrants that we speak of hence ventured into greener pastures in the middle Assam districts and onwards. Hojai district, for example, a part of Nagaon earlier, was completely free from illegal immigrants and also muslims of Bengali origin(spill over as you say), last 3 decades has brought about a sea of change. Such changes have been observed in Darrang, other parts of Nagaon, Sonitpur etc.
This what I am also saying. Barak valley and Lower Assam are heavily populated and Muslim's have higher birth rate. So those Muslims gone to other districts for 'Greener pasture'. It has nothing to do with Bangladesh. Check my previous post. Assamese muslim growth rate actually lower than all Indian average.

.
Look at this chart. Muslim gone from 24.68% in 1951 to 34.22% in 2011 in Assam. A growth of 38.6% over 60 years. In the meantime, in all India, Muslims gone from 10% to 14.2%. Check Indian census. In all India, Muslim growth was 42% percent over the same period. So Assamese Muslim growth is actually lower than Indian average. So how they can claim that Assam has over run by massive number of Bangladeshi Muslim migrants?

The truth is Muslim growth is high in all part of India, not only in Assam. But as Assam had higher percentage of Muslims to begin with and they form majority in some districts, who happen to be a different ethnicity than dominant Assamese, it got politicized in ugly ways and made Bangladesh a scapegoat due to their ignorance and xenophobia.

The issue started due to hindu emigration from Assam in 1980s due to communal unrest. As a result hindu growth was only 45% compared to muslims 77% between 1971-1991. It actually started the propaganda when an Indian news media wrote the difference 32% muslim growth due to illegal migration from Bangladesh where hindu growth and muslim growth are completely two different thing. That article mentioned this 32% growth or difference in growth is the reason for 1.6 million illegal Bangladeshi muslim migrated to Assam. You know it very well how it was easy to brainwash these gullible hindus and assamese during 1990s when there were no internet and mass media to counter these base less claims.

Plus another thing put oil into the fire when 1993 or 1994 during election Advani claimed 20 million illegal Bangladeshi migrated to India. It got mass acceptance and in places like West Bengal and Assam this became something like written in geeta for the brainwashed hindus and main instrument for politics to get votes by targeting Bengali muslims and to counter congress.

You can see this brainwashed guy Axomiya_lora and even many in BJP and other radical hindu organizations are repeating this propaganda.

I forgot to add that muslim growth rate was similar to rest of India in Assam and Christian and other tribes had higher growth than muslim during 1971-1991.

And i am replying that not only those from there but also new imports from BD have migrated to other areas in Assam and India abetting the population growth. Take it from someone having a first hand knowledge, Bengali Muslims both legal and illegal have a strong aversion towards adopting modern methods of family planning inspite of the tiresome efforts of us healthcare professionals and state government. The indigenous Assamese Muslims though have no such issues.

This will help you understand more. Muslim population growth in Assam was more than WB, Kerala and even JnK.

Because Muslims are already a big minority in Assam. Already a big baseline population. So the effect of incremental population growth out of big baseline would be higher. Nothing unusual about that. More over Assamese Muslims are very poor and backward.

My advice is, rather than harping about 'Bangladeshi illegal' and explosive Muslim growth rate, help your Muslim minority to progress socio-economically. Muslim have high birth rate because they are the most marginalized community in India. They are less educated, less employed, poorer than national average. In one word, they are more backward compared to other religious communities. And backward people breed more around the world. Your Hindutva politics of discriminating against Muslims will not bear any fruits rather would be a boomerang. Look at Bangladesh, although it is Muslim majority, it has lower Fertility rate and population growth rate than India. Because Bangladesh's social development indicators are better than India. So, it can happen with Indian Muslims also.

When they migrated? If migrated in big number why it is not reflected in census?

And other states in India didn't have a sizeable muslim minority? Fact remains that Assam already had a booming muslim population since the 70s which went on to disproportionately multiply in each coming decade.
help your Muslim minority to progress socio-economically.
Mechanisms have already been in place put by the Central and State governments, little can be done if they view social welfare and family planning programmes with distrust. Moreover, we have to address the elephant in the room, Madrassa education doesn't make one capable of being gainfully employed, this is a vicious cycle leading to more breeding and population explosion.

If we conduct a nationwide NRC, figures will be revealed. Whether those Bengali muslims in NCT, South India or Maharashtra are really Indian citizens and if they are which state did they migrate from.

What's the percentage of West Bengal's population Muslim?
After everything that has happened it's still 27%, just imagine and compare that to Assam.

why should Bangladesh worry when other indians states like west Bengal or bihar is not worrying?

It's already told you it is due to lower hindu growth rate. Muslim, Christian and other tribes are growing almost at the same rate.

This article described it in detail:

This is district wise muslim population growth between 2001-2011.

We are talking about Assam not other states. If you are saying illegal migration has happened there must be reflection at census data if it has happened in big number. No such record is there.

Most importantly if any mass scale migration from Bangladesh to India has happened you would see in each and house there is someone in India which you will never find. Now 12-13 million Bangladeshis live abroad and most houses has someone who lives broad which is not the case in case of India.

Show us the stats from 1971-2001 to back your claims.

Look at the article. So many stats with explanation is there.

This is district wise growth rate of all religious groups between 1971-1991.

If you try to shove contraception to the rural, uneducated, poor people(Muslim or otherwise) they will resist. Muslims are more resistant to Contraception in India exactly for the same reasons. Indian Muslims specially in Assam are more rural, more uneducated, more poor, mostly engaged in agriculture. That's why they are more resistant to contraception and family planning. This problem is not the case in Bangladesh. Our current Fertility rate is just 2.0 child per woman. Which is less than replacement rate. Check UNFPA data.

Strong determinant of Fertility rate is -

1.Female secondary education
2.Urbanization

What is the female secondary education rate among Assamese Muslim girls? What is the urbanization rate among Assamese Muslims? How these rate compare to other communities.

That actor used to do film in West Bengal. He used to be popular there and gone this time to do a film.
Fawad Khan also did films in India...we all loved his acting.
He is a very India loving type of person.
Glad to know that....people to people relations need to get better between bangladesh and india.
Trinamul has a habit to utilize film stars in politics. Look at their candidate this time. Five film actor/actress got nominated by Trinamul.
Doesnt matter. They are all Indian citizens. Even BJP and Congress have film stars as their candidates for certain constituencies. Doesnt mean that we would let foreigners to campaign for certain parties.

BTW its not sanghi conspiracy. I am sure that Bangladesh actor didnt know what he was getting into. I mean Indian pan masala company fooled former james bond, and here this person was in contact with politicians who are master at making fool of others. As far as political parties are concerned, he was there to appeal to illegal immigrants so they vote for them.
No self respecting country would allow a foreigner to campaign in their elections for anyone. If u dont mind that, go ahead and call SRK, Aamir or Salman if ur political parties have enough money and think people will like them.

Oh c'mon, 24.56 to 34.22 in Assam compared to the national stats of 11.21 to 14.23 percent?

If you try to shove contraception to the rural, uneducated, poor people(Muslim or otherwise) they will resist.
No one is trying to shove contraception down anyone's throat, everything is done following guidelines. There is a concerted effort going on encompassing all areas of development. Resistance is offered from the same quarters that don't allow routine vaccination to take place in Pakistan, need i elaborate more.. Our IEC strategy hasn't reached the deaf ears of the target audience because of you-know-who.

Did you see hindu growth rate here? But you are just talking about one factor not other factors. If hindus are growing at far below than other communities muslism, christian and tribes at around half of their growth rate than for sure there will be difference in percentage of total population but that is quite normal as same trend is going on from 1910.

I am not seeing your comment on Christian and Tribes which are growing even at higher rate than muslim.

Muslim already had a sizable population since 1951 so growth rate is increasing the percentage share and that is why it is projected by 2050 muslim will be majority.

This is muslim population percentage since 1901.

For info muslim growth rate is below average muslim growth rate in all across India since 1951.
