The family and I were thinking the other day to shift to Texas for business opportunity.

But anyways, it's sad these shootings are happening in Schools and stuff, something is mentally wrong with these kids.

True but in some cases it also involved random people committing the heinous crime.
One such incident also happened here Scotland, where a man entered a Primary School in Dunblane and killed more than a dozen children.

Timberview High School shooting leaves four injured; suspect arrested

Four people were injured after a shooting at Mansfield ISD's Timberview High School in Arlington on Wednesday morning. Authorities arrested an 18-year-old suspect.

Had this been a Muslim kid, Act of Terrorism would've followed with the minor being sent to Guantanamo under the Patriot Act.

Mental health care plays a large part in these kinds of cases. There are usually warning signs, but are far too often ignored. Substance abuse and side effects of medications also can not be overlooked, as well as the easy accessibility of firearms to people affected by all of the above.

Even without a gun, repeat offenders released back onto the streets can kill. A woman pushed another woman towards an oncoming train at Time Square a couple of days ago. A person that had a history of attacking other women including biting, on at least half a dozen prior occasions.

There are a lot of people that need rehabilitation. A lot of the prison should be turned into light and medium security rehabilitation facilities IMHO. Locations in less dense areas, where people can reconnect with nature and find the help they need.

There is also the influence of bad parenting (and friends that are bad influences), and not finding a way to help kids with neglectful or abusive parents/friends to be taught how to deal with their emotions, so they don’t have to repeat the mistakes of the people around them.
