Being a lady & a jouno I seek your views on the following:

Would you consider it insensitive / crass to expect a married woman to remove her Mangal Sutra - a symbol of her marriage when she goes to meet her husband who is on Death Row ?

Ask the woman meeting her convicted terrorist husband in US jail! All such jtems are removed before meet is permitted.

Remeber the Indian diplomat who got probed in all possible ways at US immigration? If immigration of any country can do all that, removing mangalsutar is nothing. No need to make an issue out of it.

Seems like Indians attempted to attach , GPS trackers on Visitor's shoes who visited Kalbhusan. The material captured by various detectors installed on the faiclity ensured that visitors were not able to get these metallic objects or possible GPS trackers anywhere near the Terrorist

Possibly RAW's motive was to pass the GPS tracker to the Terrorist and later RAW would attempt to figure out exact location of the Terrorist post meetup with his visitors.

It is highly unlikely that the Terrorist would be allowed to stay in same location for long period of time and quite possible he would be moved to undisclosed location

Due to the high security around Terrorist the , visitor's were passed thru necessary checks and the shoes were confiscated as part of investigation to figure out what kind of information was being sent over to Indian Pawns

Personal opinion is that RAW would have tried to assasinate Kalbhushan vis proxy or rescue in order to escape the pending "humiliation at world stage" with their Terrorist caught red handed


Possible Motives:

1- Pass a Suicide pill to Terrorist (No chance of that happening with glass wall)
2- Possible identification of Holding facility and collaboration with some afghan terrorist
elements to attempt a rescue inside by Pakistan done with Proxy setup
3- Possible Espionage (some terrorist activity) and then attempt for rescue via Afghan route by special ops using American helicopters as cover to drop off 10-15 unit force along Pakistani border from Afghanistan

Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday rejected Pakistan's claims of something suspicious found in Kulbhushan Jadhav's wife's shoes, terming the allegation "an absurdity beyond measure", India Today reported.

While addressing Rajya Sabha — the upper house of the parliament in India — following a meeting with family of Indian spy Jadhav, Swaraj said that it was "absurd to suggest there was a mystery chip or camera or recording device planted inside Kulbhushan's wife's shoes."

Earlier this week, Pakistan's Foreign Office (FO) had said the shoes of the Indian spy's wife Chetankul were confiscated on security grounds after "something metallic" was found in her shoe.

Swaraj today also reiterated claims that the trial conducted by Pakistan to convict Jadhav was "farcical" and his mother and wife were humiliated by Pakistani authorities before and after their meeting with him.

The FO has already previously rejected these claims, saying: "If Indian concerns were serious, the guests or the Indian DHC [deputy high commissioner] should have raised them during the visit, with the media, which was readily available, but at a safe distance, as requested by India."

Saying Pakistan does not wish to indulge in a "meaningless battle of words", the FO spokesman had said it is a fact that Jadhav's mother "publicly thanked Pakistan for the humanitarian gesture", therefore "nothing more needs to be said."

Convicted Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother and wife were allowed to meet him on "humanitarian grounds" by Pakistan 21 months after Jadhav's arrest and as a gesture of goodwill on Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's birthday.

"We note with regret that the Pakistani side conducted the meeting in a manner which violated the letter and spirit of our understandings," India had complained in a statement hours after Jadhav's wife and mother met officials at the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi triggering a spat between the two neighbouring nuclear powers.

Why we are even giving justifications to anyone !
We were generous enough to let the family meet with Mr Jhadav, if people have problem with whatever protocols PAK adopted they can go to International court of justice if that helps.

What else Pakistan could've done?

• Pakistani authorities could have recorded a video interview of mother and wife of terrorist soon after their arrival in Pakistan, asking what were they expecting out of this meeting.
• Another interview post meeting, where mother and wife's could've been asked if their expectations were met and if they were treated well in Pakistan.

But after looking at (mad cow type) Indian reaction, Pakistan Foreign Office should state that any future favours for India are conditional and would depend how well India behaved after this interaction. Pakistan's doesn't need to grant India any more leverages or listen to their "bakar bawas" aired by the prostitute Media. If they cannot behave, they cannot be given favours.

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistani authorities took the shoes Indian spy Kulbushan Jadhav’s wife was wearing upon arrival in Pakistan, giving her an alternate pair before she was sent to meet her husband, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson.

According to the official of the Pakistani foreign office, Chetankul Jadhav’s shoes were taken over suspicion after authorities felt there was something fixed in them.

Chetankul’s shoes were kept for investigation, while everything else, including her jewellery was returned, the Foreign Office Spokesperson, Dr Muhammad Faisal said in a statement.

As the pair of shoes is in the custody of the Pakistani authorities, it was being ascertained whether the metallic objected suspected to be fixed in them is a camera of a recording chip, stated the spokesperson.

Jadhav’s wife Chentankul and mother Avanti reached Pakistan Monday to meet him at the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

It was said that Chetankul and Avanti were asked to wash their faces, to clean it if they were wearing any makeup. They were also asked to remove whatever jewellery they were wearing.

The roads leading from and to the Foreign Office building were closed to traffic for the meeting. Walkthrough gates were installed outside the Foreign Office building amid strict security measures.

Commander Jadhav — an on-duty Indian navy officer working for Indian covert agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) — was arrested on March 3, 2016, from Balochistan, after he entered into Pakistan from Iran. He has been convicted of espionage and sabotage activities.
