Mar 26 - Rather than buying oversized shoes for children to grow into, German scientists have developed a shoe which "grow" along with kids' feet.
A research team at Potsdam University spent two years testing children's walking movements.
They say oversized shoes can lead children to walk awkwardly and cause problems as the feet develop.
So they've come up with a shoe that fits perfectly from the moment you buy it, and expands by up to two centimetres as kids' feet grow.
