Shocked: What is this? Only for Pakistanis

@muse, please reconsider. This has nothing to do with Arab this or that, or coercion, or artistic this or that. But it has everything to do with decency. Perhaps you do not see it that way, but in context this truly is what it is. Perhaps we who object to this have been brought up in accordance with values that *all* Pakistanis share, and not you. But offering excuses and painting scenarios does not change the nature of this thing. It is disrespectful no matter how you look at it. And since this apparently happened in Pakistan, we have a right to judge this.

Libertarian logic does not quite apply here. Question: Were you raised in Pakistan?

The very second post calls the video the face of moderate islam. That seems more like pushing an agenda to me. This is not seen as an error but some kind of threat to your way of life.

That's already happening - our arabized crew has such a strong sense of certitude that they refuse to consider the idea that there can be multiple ways, multiple paths -- they insist, they are angry, their way or no way - unfortunately for them, they misjudge the time and the environment.

See, society is changing, there will be more and more different and diverse expressions, this whole business about just one way, my way, is going the way of the doo doo - that's why we see such extreme reactions and anger from otherwise reasonable persons - they realize they are lost, but the do not know how to embrace what is happening and will happen even more and more. It's tragic but the more extreme their reaction, the more they lose. And so coercion.

I think he is just confusing things in the heat of debate. His POV is certainly off. He does not quite get it yet it seems and reading his bias into it.

Hey @muse: Ba Khuda Deewana, Ba Mustafa HoshiyarBash!!! Good advise if ever there was once.
Its not 1st time...He has done it on almost all such threads either he is really confused because even in UK they respect your belief (esp if you are in the right neighbourhood) or he IS SERIOUSLY trolling..

No one has stopped anyone from dancing, it is the banner that is at question there.

So what should be done about it? Has it flirted with some one's honor or not? Would we get to read about these shameless people's fate in the coming days or are they going to be spared?

basically i think muse can don't know the meaning of respect. well both are same as both dont know about what islam really says. Illiteracy on the peak :D

Nope where I was brought up it is called wanna be....You know be try to be like the gora soo much you get confused of your own culture...

I have given him benefit of the doubt too much now it looks plainly like trolling...coz How often can you ask the same questions regarding Islam? Unless of course you do not practice it hence do not understand it...

Not illiteracy I believe he is very literate just very ignorant when it comes to Islam...He just needs to read up a little and should be fine...that is IF he wants to even WANTS to know about Islam...

Bhai Usama, my post was in response to Nastikan, not muse.

hmmm yes i got it, even with out quoting you my post was directly for muse. as he is not getting our point. as we even he cant differentiate between Ghairat and arabanized culture. most of murders in pakistan are because of honour killing not because of arabanized.

yaara if you are so sure that you are representative of Pakistan, how do you explain the video? And I'm confused about your taking exception to "arabized", what about "arabized is negative to you?? Why??

I think you have that wrong - Dancing naked or otherwise with a bomb America in the background is simply an artistic choice, not an invitation to drones.

I know where your head and heart is when you are calm - this is just a discussion, so consider: Why does it increasingly take coercion for a segment of or a kind of religiosity, to get it's point across? What does it say about that kind of religiosity?? How is it different from what the Talib seek to impose on us?

By this definition, when the guards at Gitmo desecrated Quran, they were not really being disrespectful. They were exercising their right of free speech? Or was it an expression of artistic impulse? Or were they torturing the inmates?

This is probably a case of negligence if it is indeed actual. Arguing about it along libertarian lines makes it something it is not.

You have no idea what you are talking about, or what we are discussing. Besides did you not read the thread title:
Shocked: What is this? Only for Pakistanis

Can you not respect the wishes of your fellow community members instead of jumping on the "hey lets have a go at bashing some moslims" bandwagon ?

I explain the video because I belong to the environment where it apparently was created. There are things that you understand instinctively, don't you? Well it is the same with me. I am a better judge of how it probably came about, because I belong to the environment and I have a brain. If true, this was a simple act of negligence pure and simple.

Please get off this Arabized thing. You keep bringing it up. It has no relevance here.

All I asked you to do is explain what you find objectionable about "arabized" - I think it's a reasonable question and you should be able to answer it because you take exception to it

Almost every Quran khani ends in a dance party, but in a family setting of course.
