The fear of unknown has always haunted the human conscious, but the fear of the known can lead to panic with devastating results. The last major war between India and Pakistan was fought in 1971.
The following chapter gives a little insight into the psyche of the air war as how the PAF installed it's fear into the hearts and minds of it's enemy.

It must be gratifying for a ground controller, knowing he brought down an enemy plane with mere command of his voice.

The motive of the war was to gain freedom of Bangladesh and stop butchering by Kasai of Dhaka Gen. Tikka Khan. We did it successfully. Mission accomplished.

But did isolated incidents of heroics prevent the inevitable defeat of pakistan???

You can continue discussing isolated events to boost your already hurt ego but this will not change the fact that Pakistan got defeated.

Seems if any thing, this incident has hurt your tiny ego, for who is discussing the overall war here, but you had to digress and drag that in .
The incident never the less took place in the Western Sector.

Nobody is refusing PAF s war efforts in 1971 but then one have to accept Pakistan Army's abysmal performance overall

defeated NO DOUBT! however, getting involved in a civil war & setting up a rebel government in calcuta is not something to be proud of but oh well indians are followers of Chankiya type nonsense i presume.

As well as it's helping us to win wars yes we are Chanikya followers

We all do.. but why do you wish to prevent us to celebrate what little good was done?
even that is unacceptable to some Indians?

I am not among them :)

When you are fighting a two front war a thousand miles from home with one hand tied against a heavy ratio, and no such thing as re-enforcements, I am sure there are other words to describe the effort. India's involvement in Sri Lanka, albeit without the restrictions, is one small example.

Whatever which can console you

One Hell of a Job... when it is an event of war: Men matter the most, and above all..
