There has been a tendency of bringing Shiv sena to each and every thread as a troll. So I thought a little lecture on what exactly the shiva sena is.

Shiv Sena ), is a far-right political party in India founded on June 19, 1966 by Balasaheb Thackeray. It is currently headed by Thackeray's son, Uddhav Thackeray. The party originally emerged out of a movement in Mumbai, the then-Bombay, broadly favouring increased influence of Marathis in Maharashtra. It built a strong base amongst the Marathi community in the sixties based on its ideology that Maharashtra belonged to the Marathi community and that they be given preference over migrants from other Indian states.



Anybody knowing the language English and can read news articles can figure out shivsena is just a political party in one of the 28 states and 7 union territories of republic of India. It has no say in rest of 27 states and 7 union territories, in fact it even hasn’t got peoples mandate in its stronghold. Shivsena is well known in India as an organization who criticized all other Indians except the Marathi’s. It even criticized the iconic sachin tendulkar, amitabh bachan, mukesh ambani( worlds 4th richest man ) etc etc, so you can imagine how much popular he is here.



Has shivsena ever done suicide bombs , attacked Pakistan, massacred people, indulged in arms , The answer is no.
Shiv sena is known for attacking people from north India especially Biharis who come in as cheap labor taking away marathi local jobs.

There has been a huge roar saying its popular.. ok lets consider the votes they got in last election . They got 6828382 votes in support of them in whole of maharashta state.. which is 0.59 percentage of the whole nation when u consider India has a population of 1,139,964,932.

We all know the percentage of how many people involved in organizations like LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Harakat ul-Ansar , Harakat ul-Mujahidin, etc etc .when you take the whole population of Pakistan into consideration.

So my question is whether its fair to retaliate any members suggestion that an Indian should stop its shiv sena views with words like Pakistanis should stop the LeT view in each thread?

The problem is Shiv Sena is far more vocal than its actual strength/voter base and the Indian media gives attention to it. JuD, JM, HM never got much press in Pakistan and the stuff they used to do was standing outside mosques after friday prayers and asking for donation to their "Jihadi causes" and recruiting youngsters in rural areas.

Shiv Sena was found to be directly involved in anti-muslim riots and Babri Mosque incident in a country where both religious communities maintain considerable communal peace and harmony. Hence Shiv Sena isn't just an oddity, it becomes the most prominent face of intolerance in India. I'm not claiming that Indian populations are generally intolerant, just that Shiv Sena is a poster party for intolerance.

Your points are well founded and I certainly feel that you have brought up a good point.

Apart from Maharashtra you wont find a single shiv sena supporter in whole of nation as it gets much media attention for what it does to non Marathi.

ye u can find shiv senas name in riots in "MUMBAI".. and Mumbai is just one of the cities of India happened to be inside Maharashtra.

Babri masjid insident happened with karsevaks and it has nothing to do with Shivsena.. its not their battle ground...

Shivsena is a leech to a society giving non marathis a hard time in mumbai and constatnly attacking celebrities and getting media attention for that.

Shivsena was in news for its stance against sachins view recently, sharukhs view and ambanis... also was in news for going against australians playing in IPL ..

Pakistanis use Shiv sena name because they need some "name" to counter the constant reference by Indian members about LeT, and Co.

the problem is 90% of indian media revenue comes from private company advertisement ,so most of the part of indian media just hunger of sensitization news so that they can find more attention and can sell their news and make their TRP up.

as you know in journalism negative things always crate more attention than positive one.

I understand what you're saying but the Srikrishna Commission Report found them to be guilty in this regard. However, Bal Thackeray was cleared of all charges later. Why did The Srikrishna Commission Report find them involved? I haven't read the report hence you people might be in a better position to tell me.

Pakistanis reference Shiv Sena because Shiv Sena has hardline anti-Pakistan views as demonstrated by the pitch tampering/destruction they carried out at Feroz Shah Kotla and Wankhede during the '90s. They constantly threaten Pakistan when our teams come and they declare their ill intentions loudly.

we have a strong judiciary, where people can approach and even big guns who have run the government are not spared.

Its so advantageous that the unfortunate incident that happened that day are still in news and constantly haunted its trouble makers even costing them elections and party posts and popularity.

You know what in news nowadays in India, its the issue with amitabh being the brand ambassador of Gujarat ruled by modi who is found responsible for Gujarat massacre. we in India never leave any one doing a bad act so easily. so if srikrishna commisiion cleared thackarey, its because he or is party never had a chance to do it. though i belive given that chance , this bastard would have done the same.


pakistan has played in mumbai after 1990 , i guess

this thackarey guy even threatened rahul gandhi against visiting mumbai recently, though rahul came to mumbai travelled in local trains without giving much attention to this guy.


They not only threaten pakistani as u all see, they threaten the rest of the 98% population here including their own like sachin, ambanis, amithabh etc etc...but nobody cares about it coz all they do is give threats, threats , threats.......

Shvsena ? ? Its just a political crap working only in maharashtra. .ss view doesnt matter. Even maharashtra has congress goverment. .ss is nthng but a misuse of freedom of speech.
