Sheikh Mujeeb-ur-Rehman famous speech against the neutrals: Joy Bangla! Joy Pakistan!

Says the one who is a beneficiary of kickbacks/corruption money. Forfeit all your 2 number gains, I will gladly follow your advice.
Yeah man i get free biryani everyday. Lol.

So delusional you are. Come out of this stupid concept that Immi the holy messiah will save us, solve our courrption cases and what not.

However, there were countless discussions with MuR, Bhutto and other Pakistani politicians facilitated by Gen Yahya Khan but unfortunately all for nought BECAUSE the political elite in West Pakistan was not willing to let MuR and AL form a national government post elections which MuR won fair and square.
So to end this political deadlock between West Pakistan and East Pakistan politicians, chief martial law administrator General Yahya chose military operation in East Pakistan, against the party that had just won elections free and fair? Amazing isn't it? Yet we still can't blame General Yahya for initiating military action in East Pakistan, because somehow West Pakistan's politicians had a deadlock with East Pakistan's politicians. Amazing justifications. The right way to solve this deadlock was to call assembly session in Dhaka and let assembly elect its next leader instead of initiating military action in East Pakistan that led to civil war, Indian intervention and thus break up into Bangladesh

Youthiya remembers 71 after IK ouster.
If Patwari fake account had read history, Imran Khan talked about it many times before he was even PM

Yes, you are right. Military alone was not responsible for the 1971 debacle. It was a collective failure

But the question is that why does the Army, the country's dominant power center, always support the "wrong" side?

They always support unpopular leaders against the popular ones

Mujib was more popular than Bhutto, Army supported Bhutto
Bhutto became the most popular leader of (west)Pakistan, Army killed him
Benazir was more popular than Nawaz Sharif, Army supported (rather created) Nawaz in 1980s
Nawaz won 2/3rd majority in 1997, Army imposed martial law and exiled him
Nawaz was more popular than Imran Khan, Army supported Imran in 2018
Imran is the most popular leader in Pak ryt now, Army is supporting PDM against him

The Army always goes against the will of the majority to retain their role as country's dominant power center

The Army is not willing to concede the political power to the people of Pakistan

We have already lost half of the country because of this, and we may lose what we are left with
It's obvious isn't it? If army supports the most popular leader, it would have to live under his shadow. This cannot be allowed. Hence establishment always rig elections / system in favor of second most popular leader to put the most popular leader or party in its place

However, that wasn't even the main reason why the military would not allow Mujib to become the Head of State, the main issue was his 6 point plan which would have relegated the federal government to defense and foreign affairs only, a dangerous level of decentralization which would have opened the path for Pakistan's disintegration, the plan also called for separate currencies, foreign exchanges and militaries.
Who is military to decide that? People of Pakistan in huge majority voted for Sheikh Mujeeb and it was his democratic right to form govt. Many of his six points could not have worked in reality and would have been discarded anyway due to their impractical nature. But to test them was not allowed because military thought they knew more than the people of Pakistan. Their arrogance cost them half the country. @blain2

IK also praised Gen Bajwa also many times idiot.
Your Mafroor leader also ridiculed Bajwa in the past but now seems totally cool about him as his brother is made PM

I think it is a misinterpretation to see establishment as supporting PDM.
Parties allied with PTI for 3.5 years in govt suddenly switched sides to opposition's grand alliance PDM right before NCM vote against ex PM Imran Khan. These small parties are well known to be establishment parties that act as kingmakers in case no party gains simple majority: MQMP, BAP, PMLQ. All these parties left PTI and joined PDM before NCM vote in a joint action. Coincidence? Hardly

Pakistan is not a nation
Hell it's not even a federation
It's basically ruled by a gang from a specific province
And they have been single handedly looting and alienating people from other ethnic backgrounds be that any organisation from the military to civil services to politicians
(The reason why a lot of Bangali officers defected )
What we need to do is divide Punjab into atleast 3 provinces
If not
It'll only breed more resentment and ultimately the collapse of this federation
I'm sure these satellite states formed would do much better than stay in a federation ruled by Punjab

Man I wanna move out of Punjab now. I've had enough of village retards electing PNL over and over again.

Man I wanna move out of Punjab now. I've had enough of village retards electing PNL over and over again.

I was once a stout supporter of a strong federation opposing any independent movements
But Punjabi generals and politicians supported solely by none other than the people of Punjab have single handedly eaten the very core of this federation like termites

It's nothing but a rotten mess of thugs and traitors
Bound to fail if the very people that supported them from the start dont stand up to them now
Which I'm sorry to say doesn't look like happening in the next 10 years

Mujib was a traitor not stupid.
Mujib won elections in 1970. Yahya was traitor who initiated crack down against the one who won democratic election, boot licker

The worrying thing is we are now at a junction where we are glorifying outright traitors such as Mujib
Boot licker, Mujib won elections in 1970 with huge majority. He wasn't a traitor. It was unelected martial law administrator General Yahya that was a traitor who initiated crack down against Mujib because he won democratic elections and he didn't want to hand him power

History says otherwise the main reason Bangladesh even exists is because of the Delhi sultanate and the Mughal empire who gave the Bangla sultanate
Bangladesh exists and thriving better than Pakistan now because of sheer arrogance of West Pakistanis like you who called them lungi dwellers

Thanks for highlighting this.

As I mentioned earlier, now we are being exposed to an overnight, revisionist nonsense being spouted by a social media charged, frenzied segment who for the most part were not even around for at least 3 decades after whatever transpired in EP.
Revisionist non sense? Sheikh Mujeeb won elections in East Pakistan fair and square. It was his democratic right to form govt with or without West Pakistani politicians support. Military establishment of the time had no right to initiate military action in East Pakistan against the party that had just won democratic election with a huge majority. Stop blaming politicians for something military establishment did

The only reason Bangladesh got its independence was because it was geographically separate from Pakistan.

Haha, independence from what? a Muslim country called Pakistan?
No. East Pakistan was also part of Pakistan. It had more population and resources than West Pakistan. Its economy is now bigger than present Pakistan. If establishment of West Pakistan had not used military action in East Pakistan, they would still be very much Pakistani

The Khakis will continue in the name of Allah to protect the lands.
Lol just like they protected east Pakistan, boot licker?

PS: Forget the young men in my family, my close to 90 year old retired army father (a veteran of 3 wars, PoW) is a broken man with the kind of trash he sees being laid on the entire army's doorstep. Kutch sharam, Kutch tau haiya karo, khuda kay liyay!
What? Who is blaming entire army? We are only blaming military establishment who initiated military action in East Pakistan against the party that had just won democratic election with a huge majority

Ruled by the house Mujib since its independence.
Nope. Khalida Zia and other some generals also ruled Bangladesh in the past

The only way people can show their true power is by the right to vote. Blaming and shaming is no good move if the other side gets pissed they have emotions and supporters too it's not a one-way street.

These are the same people who were crying because Imran raised petrol prices by 7 rupees.
So why wasn't East Pakistan's vote accepted by military establishment when Sheikh Mujeeb won elections in 1970 fair and square?

East wing should have been a separate country from the beginning.
Just because East wing didn't do boot polish like West wing politicians lol

If Islam wasn't fair and just you wouldn't see Pakistan standing.
Pakistan is standing? Begging to IMF all the time to avoid default and bankruptcy is what you call standing?

Army was made a scapegoat while Bhutto came out clean. Thanks to Bhutto, East Pakistan was lost.
Bhutto didn't order military action in East Pakistan. General Yahya, chief martial law administrator did, boot licker

He was never in favour of seceding East Pakistan. The equation changed completely when the Pakistani establishment overreacted on 25th March killing civilians indiscriminately and arresting BB.
But @blain2 and @Signalian will continue to blame Bhutto for something military establishment did. Bhutto had no control over martial law administrator General Yahya. It was Yahya's decision to to do crack down in East Pakistan

Mujib was not a traitor. If you want to blame anyone for losing East Pakistan. Blame that idiot Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
And that traitor general Yahya who started military operation in East Pakistan

He orchestrated horrendous crimes against civilians to fuel his secession. Also the way he treated his own people after East Pakistan separation is evidence to his true character. ZAB shares the blame too, since both of them wanted uninterrupted power for themselves, instead of sharing it or working things out.
Bhutto didn't start military operation in Pakistan. General Yahya did. Bhutto and Mujeeb could work out their differences politically. But Yahya's military crack down ensured establishment of Bangladesh

DHA has put such blinders on mil folks that they refuse to acknowledge anything other than the army as equals. Wholly justifying cracking down on free speech. They just see everybody else as road blocks or a mango tree that needs to be cut down to build their new DHA housing scheme.

Yeah, but declaring independence is also treason as well.
Military crack down by traitor General Yahya in East Pakistan left Bengalis with no choice but to declare independence, boot licker

Yes, we are because we are disgusted by PTI's brand of politics of scorched earth tactics, destroying the reputation of all of our institutions since they disagree with their party's pov.
Wait, did you just say PTI destroyed the reputation of most trusted institution of Pakistan? So it means people now trust PTI more than this so called "most trusted institution"? 🤣
