Shehla Raza - Spills the beans

As @Secur says in post #44, nothing wrong with the deal--such things have been happening throughout Pakistan's history where the civilians and military have exchanged power when the public mood had turned extremely against either the civilians or the military rulers. We should THANK THE LORD that Pakistan has such safety-valves otherwise Pakistan would be like Afghanistan where rulers had to be killed or unceremoniously deposed.

And make no mistake about it: Musharraf was history the moment the Lawyers Movement took off starting around March 2007. So it was good that he was given a chance of a graceful exit. And now, despite the Zardari mis-governance, I believe we have more stability and inter-provincial harmony than in years--terrorism is another problem.

Finally, please don't be too hard on Pakistani politicians: I firmly believe they are not the worst in the world. And they will only improve as democracy takes root.

PS. Don't ask me more about Shehla Raza--I am content to be anonymous. I was never a member of either PPP/PSF or MQM/APMSO or the Jamiat e Tulba. She is good in my books. Oh, an account of an encounter with her brother way back in the 80's: I mentioned that the green in Pakistani flag was for Islam. He laughed his head off and said that to the 'socialist' like him that was for some kind of social agriculture/collective farm revolution! Ahh, back then we used to have socialists and even a few communists...
Although off topic, but one of my ex-professor was in their batch. She commented that Shehla Raza's brother was good student yet still he wasn't allowed give exams just because of his attendance issues?
