Sharif: War on terror leaves no time for development

Nawaz Sharif said most of his government's time is consumed in tackling terrorism and the acute energy crisis which leaves little time for development works.

Foolish comment from gunja ! People find ways to accomplish tasks while fools only give excuses. May be gunja should go back to stealing steel manhole covers for his junk steel mill.

Lahore: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said most of his government's time is consumed in tackling terrorism and the acute energy crisis which leaves little time for development works.

Expressing resolve to eliminate terrorism, Sharif said the military operation in North Waziristan that started in June last year will continue till the elimination of the last terrorist.

“Come what may the operation against terrorists will continue in the country till elimination of the last terrorist,“ he said.

Sharif also claimed that his government would overcome energy crisis in two to three years. “A country without gas and electricity cannot progress,“ he said. “I am working hard to curb terrorism and overcome energy crisis. I spend 90% of my time on these issues. And because of this, not much time is left to look into the other matters related to development works,“ Sharif said addressing businessmen in Sialkot.

As a Prime Minister he needs to learn what multi-tasking is all about. He has an entire cabinet dealing with their proprietary issues. Like what has a minister for Planning and Development got to do with fighting terror? Isn't he responsible for development as his portfolio suggests?

So has the government come to a standstill? Can't development go on simultaneously with the WOT?

So better get your facts correct. MQM has been operating a militant wing and this wing has been used extensively for achieving personal,financial,sectarian as well as political objectives. So opposing militancy purge backed by evidences and solid developmenta is similar to supporting the militancy.

A military purge huh? So you are for extra judicial killings of political workers? Ok fine with me then. But why only MQM? Every party Karachi has armed elements, what about Sectarian killers wandering around with private militas proudly proclaiming they will kill more Shias ? I oppose "military purges" if they are selective, and turn a blind eye to establishment puppies but go against those opposed by the establishment.

Lone zarb-e-azb costs about 20 billion to national exchequer on months. add 6 billion to clean Karachi from@Pakistani Exile's target killer and bhatta khoor brothers, talibans and gangsters and ofcourse the khyberX operations the amount can easily top 30-35 Billion a month. But money well spent as law and order restoration should be the priority. Clean Pakistan of religious and secular terrorists.

If law and order improves, economy improves as well at the same time.

So every $1b we spend, many millions we're getting out of it. And this will multiply. War is once, economic growth is many years.

If I took control of a country, the first thing I would do is install CCTV cameras everywhere. I would spend $3billion if it thats how much it would cost.

Allah says:
