Heard his speech. He gave an Idea that pakistan is stuck with issues dating back to decades. No emphasis on environment, climate change. It was mostly for domestic audiences. He literally was thrown out of his position recently....so expected. India got nuke deal, we didnt. India got NSG membership, we didnt. India got this, we didnt. India got that, we didnt. Boo hoo. Gave an impression that he was reading out a script handed out by the army. Bash India, Israel..win local sympathy. Golden rule in pakistani politics.

As Hussain Haqqani rightly said to Arnab, "how does it matter even if Sharif raises the Kashmir issue in UN, he still will be the only one among 190 odd members there to raise the issue, others won't even bother to pay attention to it". Whereas when Modi will speak there, even though in the language not known to them, everyone will be listening with complete interest. If one does need to see how to score a self goal, look at that 'dehati aurat' who cried in UN today (even when more than half of the UN wasn't even in attendance)
