I am glad you agree Shalwar Kameez is foreign to India and native to Pakistan.

This is something I always believed in.

Salwar may look good for North Indians say Punjabis and Kashmirs (both Indo-Pak) but for the rest of Indians it look ugly.

Mogals may introduced it??? Mogals are either Tajiks or Indians not Paksitanis.

Anyway, Indian women(brownies with hourglass figure) are born for Sarees,Half sarees and Gagras. :smitten:

So most Indians don't like Shalwar Kameez.

Glad to hear that.

Shalwar Kameez is very much a Pakistani dress.

Be my guest to ban Shalwar Kameez in India.
Shalwar Kameez is afterall a Pakistani and Afghanistan dress.

Maybe some Muslims of India and Bangladesh may wear it or a derivative of it like Kurta Pyjama on Eid.

Thus reducing Pakistan to a "shadow of India" or merely a "refuge". That means by definition if India gave up mis-treatment of Muslims and accorded them full rights that would be time to disband Pakistan and merge it back with India. Great ...

God forbid. As a Punjabi I have nothing in common with say someone from South India, why should I be forced into a union with people who I share nothing with. A Punjabi is happy to have neighbours like Baloch, Pushtuns and Sindhi because there at-least a overlap of people and culture in Pakistan. You have Sindhi-Baloch tribes in Sindh, you have the Baloch in Punjab, you have Hindko speakers in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and then you have the Pushtuns in Punjab. Now why would you want to add some south Indian spices in there? :lol:

Okay. This is carry on from another thread. The Shalwar Kameez. Is it Pakistani dress. Or is it a Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi dress etc ? Please vote and give your reasons here. Thanks.

Please give your reasons when you vote !

@Iqbal Ali

Didn't the Shalwar come from the Persians and the Kameez from the Arabs?
