What's new

'Shaheed' not defined in defence or central forces: Govt

Arabic or Islamic ? There are similar terms meaning the same in other Semitic languages-Hebrew,Syriac

Similar not same. This term is an exact word used in Islamic terminology as in Quran and Hadith.

Quantity can't give you quality.
Hordes of rabbits can't kill a single tiger.
A single Israel kicked whole Arabs out .

Whatever, that does not change the fact that we are slowly taking over south asia.

Just as Indians feel happy when you use Sindh, or Sindhu or Indus and lakhs of other such words derived from Hindu culture and terminology.

:)

You lot are named after a region now in Pakistan (taken over) sure stay happy :)

In our cultural context, Shaheed means Martyr. None of us actually give a crap what it means in your religion.

Your culture has been infiltrated :)

Is not there any word for KIA in Vedic scripts or Sanskrit?
Why use an imported Arabic word?
Come up with something indigenous and cutting edge.

Half the places in Pakistan including the language you use is from sanskrit words. But we don't mind :)

As I said, we have our meaning for the word - and sure as hell it doesnt matter to us whether wannabe arabs cry about it or not.

You have no clue of the percentage of "Hindi" words that are really Arabic. Unless of course you use the crazy national geographic Hindi which no one uses :)

Keep using it more and more, it will make the coming transition easy on you :)

Not talking about the Hindi words in arabic. Talking about the Hindi words you use in your daily language in Pakistan(unless you talk in arabic).

I do agree, keep using it, it will make the transition easier. :)

You get not get it. Let me rephrase it in simpler words. A vast number of the terms in commonly spoken (everyday use) "Urdu" and "Hindi" are NOT Sanskrit in their origin but "Arabic".

As for the transition. We are now 40% plus in Pakistan-India-Bangladesh very close to Hindu ratio which just 70 years ago was hard to imagine. Even in India the percentage has now grown to 15 % and rising. Yep the transition is happening in a very satisfying manner.

:)
