Shahbaz Sharif says doesn’t want nation to suffer due to govt follies

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N president and the opposition leader in National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif, Friday said his party did not want the nation to bear the brunt of the Imran Khan government’s follies.

Addressing a party leaders meeting through video link here, he said the greater purpose before the nation right now was of national sanctity and security. “And the PML-N does not want that the nation should suffer because of the blunders, incompetence, and cluelessness of the PTI government.”

He said his party had formulised a national strategy in line with the principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s life, which was approved by the entire opposition. He told the meeting that while explaining the criticality of a lockdown under the current circumstances, he also gave a comprehensive mechanism for provision of food and essential items.

Shahbaz said the local leaders need to apprise the people around them regarding preventive measures against the COVID-19. These local volunteer leaders must also assist in provision of food, medicine and essential items to people.

The PML-N president directed all PML-N mayors and district chairmen to buckle up to protect the lives of their fellow Pakistanis and to start serving the nation with utmost devotion, dedication and honesty.

He said he believed that the fight against the coronavirus could not be won without contribution of the local leadership. He said doctors, nurses and paramedics were the front-line soldiers in the current war and the local bodies leadership was a proud platoon of the force against the pandemic.

He said the PML-N had also devised a strategy to help the people directly as well. He said the victory in the war could only come through the principles of unity, caution, and service. Meanwhile, PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said Prime Minister Imran Khan could not arrange testing and screening at the borders, landing the country in the pandemic, and yet he was bent upon politicising everything.

In a statement, she said unless and until Imran Khan was treated for the virus of political vengeance, prejudice and victimisation, he could not fight the coronavirus. The entire country was looking towards to the government in the crisis and Imran was busy crying over his political prejudice like always, she added.

Why doesnt he begin by explaining what he did for health and education in his 10 years as CM punjab? Had he invested in these two sectors instead of useless infrastructure projects then we would have had a better chance in dealing with covid 19. His policies and past performance shows he doesn't give a damn about education and health of common Pakistanis. Having said this it doesn't mean PTIs Buzdaar is doing any wonders and are probably as bad if not worse than the corrupt and duffer Sharifs.

Why don't they go to courts and sue the govt? Dont you and pmln have complete confidence in LHC for justice? Ranting here will not help anybody. Go ahead prove the govt wrong and “clueless” in LHC and get him and all others released, including Maryam Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif and all the innocent doves of pmln and ppp.
