Muslims have the most to lose with violence. What is ironic is that.. No one really knew about rushdie, about the Dutch cartoon.. or This french magazine.. before Muslims had a problem with it. Had they ignored it, they would never really even know about people like this.

What's wrong with Rusdhie? His 'The satanic verses' is a pretty awe inspiring book in the world of magic realism.

At the very, very worst, ultra-right wing will come to power and put a complete ban on immigration from Muslim countries...then what?

Even if that happens, you still have near 20 million Muslims in EU, and around 50 million Muslims in Europe over-all (around 35 million if you don't count Russia). What will you want to happen?

Mass deportation of all Europeans who profess to be Muslims? A Muslim holocaust?

This will result in tighter asylum seeker regulation (there's very little to none illegal immigrants-most are fake asylum seekers-or illegals when caught apply for asylum), thorougher handling of rejected asylum applicants (meaning they will be deported and not given a chance to disperse into the crowd), control over what is being preached in mosques, and by whom it is being preached, tighter controls and harsher punishments over suspected jihadi's (the brothers in France were already accused of something related with Iraq a few years ago) and in general just a tougher environment for all Muslims, even the working ones.

Also, this will likely lead to a reform on how EU countries share their asylum seekers, especially after some Syrian's seem to be entitled to special priviliges and do not wish to reside in Sweden near a ski resort, due to snow. One possible solution is that Lampedusa will become a perpetual refugee island (quite sad if it does as it's a beautiful island), with anyone getting there being stranded, no entry to EU, only back to where you came from.

The need for right wing parties for this to come to fruition is not urgent, most governments in Europe are moderate right wing governments anyway, and they will bend over backwards in giving the people what they want, lest they loose voters to parties further right on the scale (this is happening in UK right now)

The ones unable or unwilling to reform will end like the two brothers in France today. Muslims that will decide to live here will know a different, much softer version of Islam. We should start with the kids growing up now.

Bottom line, if Muslims themselves are unable to break the vicious circle, we will do it for them. At least for those who decide to be productive. For the rest.......

Europe has massive underlying issues of racism and refusing to accept that different people some of whom may be 3rd and 4 generation citizens are french, german etc

if the deaths of these people finally forces political introspection then you finally have a basis for accepting the massive population of muslims in Europe

free speech isn't the only ideal worth defending so is equality, freedom, liberty and the end of racism and prejudice

some muslims may be against integration but many europeans have never accepted, welcomed or integrated immigrants


if Europe dosent deal with its hang ups then forget about free speech all of its ideals and rights will burn and it will become a dark place

simply electing far right parties wont save Europe it will make Europe not worth saving

You don't understand since you are a non-Muslim. Muslims don't care if they discriminated against or persecuted. Muslims are always looking for a fight we are not ones to back-off. We only fear Allah(swt). We don't fear any man-made laws or bullets.

You are talking about people who are used to violence and warfare. Muslims have nothing to lose. So we always win.

You think Indian politicians appease Muslims for our votes. That's not the turth. The truth is that they fear us and want to keep us calm.
