Seventh grader ‘commits suicide’
THE NEWSPAPER'S STAFF REPORTER — PUBLISHED a day ago

ISLAMABAD: A student of class seven died of a bullet injury in his school in Dhoke Abbasi, Tarnol on Monday.

Police officials said a handwritten note found with the victim’s younger brother suggests he might have committed suicide.

The school’s principal had brought in the victim, Osama, to the hospital with a bullet injury to his abdomen where he was shortly pronounced dead. When they were informed, the police took the body into their custody.

Preliminary investigations suggest Osama may have killed himself because he did not get a reply from a teacher he liked.

“The last person he talked to was his younger brother, who is a second grader. During the break, Osama handed him a letter to give to the principal,” a police official said.

On his way to the principal’s office, the victims’ brother heard a gunshot and when he went back, he found his brother bleeding in the classroom.

The note that the victim wrote was in Urdu, with a few English words and was addressed to the principal in which he has said that the pistol he is using is his father’s. He has requested the principal to save his father if any action is taken against him.

In the letter, Osama asked the principal to save his life and that he did not want to die.

“Why will people not let you live,” he has asked and has professed his love for a teacher, after asking the principal to convince his family to let him marry the teacher. He has also left directions for disposing of the weapon.

According to the police, the victim’s family maintains the letter is not written by Osama as it did not match his handwriting.

Aur lao Bollywood. Damn thing is destroying us fast. Still we are blindfolded even by what affects it has caused in India but yeah we wud screen all those bakwas movies as there is lots of money involved. On the contrary this is what happens when Parents let guard off their kids esp at this age. And no one is even asking as how did he get the weapon he used to end his life. Ofocurse wud have brought from Home. So much of stringent measures by Parents back Home.:mad::mad:

بھارتی فلموں اور گانوں کا نتیجہ
Puppy-love is coming of age phenomena. Nothing to do with Indians. It happens everywhere.

Which Bollywood movie showed love relations between students and teachers?

How did the child got his hands on the pistol, Every father must keep his weapon in safe custody away from the childrens, He must be questioned for his negligence.......

Another reason why Bollywood contents must be banned....
So you suggest natural hormone activity that rises among teenagers is caused by Bollywood?

According to article, his father was away, so he probably stole it.

LOL. Puppy-love is coming of age phenomena. Nothing to do with Indians. It happens everywhere.

Not talking about teacher/ student relationship, but generally speaking, the illegitimate love relationships have increased many folds. This is surely the result of Indian movies.

-First of all, let's not forget the fact that his family maintains that the letter did not match his handwriting, so there might be more to this case than what meets the eye at this point.

-Secondly, around 2-3 posts have already talked about the "bollywood effect". I'm someone who outright is for a ban on bollywood because I think their content sucks, however you cannot blame this one on them. Seems like anything remotely like this gets a reaction of "Oooh it's because of bollywood". Let's wake up shall we? The story lines of our dramas more or less always have some romantic stuff in them, so if your argument is bollywood indoctrinated this kid, well guess what ... our TV programming has a part in that as well.

-Thirdly, how the heck did a seven grader got his hands on a gun? Responsibility of keeping weapons from children falls on the parents.
