I dont consider these decisions as blunders. They were made according to the realities of that time.

same is true about some decisions made by pak government.

but the only blunder is that these issues were not that big in the initial days. they could have been dealt with swiftly and decisively.

in the end it is always more easy to look back and criticise what has been done. it is difficult to take decisions in the present.

Well nations evolve with time. With the benefit of hindsight it is easy to judge but even as we discuss this subject errors are being made that shall have far reaching consequences if not corrected.Naxals need to be stamped out ASAP. The nation cannot wait endlessly for the elections in WB and for Didi to win.

I do not consider Blue star to be a blunder ignoring in fact encouraging events that led to it was a blunder.

The IA gave its Govt not three but four aces to go & play with in 71 at Simla.The last time this happened was in WW II. They goofed it.If it were the other way round GOP would have extracted every drop of blood to repatriate 93000 POWs !

62 with all its failings served as a wake up call to the nation & the Govt - the change was noticeable 9 years later.
