Seems the talks went well and it was agreed not that major operations would be undertaken by any sides.

There were a couple of detractors here at PDF, especially the one who is sitting in the US and has been doing his best in trying to portray that the parlies between Pakistan and Afghanistan wont last but as I mentioned several times we wont allow folks like them to choose our destiny.

May this bring peace in Afghanistan

Avoid personal attacks and racist comments.
On topic: good to see Pakistan playing a part, with US and China backing it. I hope something good comes out of this, instead of waste of time.

Did both sides agreed to ceasefire?

The first round was about laying foundations. They will meet again after Eid.

A good start. Both Afg and Pak need peace after so many years of conflict and turmoil. Of course this wont suit the agendas of certain country's in the region but we need to pull through these talks and reach some kind of consesus bilaterally. To be hoenst though I am not hugely hopeful. There are hawks sitting in both countries who would like hostilities to continue. Still lets see what happens.
