The separatism is long dead in Kashmir. What exists is pure and rabid Islamism. The rejection of all things unIslamic. Shia, Ahmedia, India, Lord Buddha, - all fit the bill.

Srinagar: There have been security concerns in Kashmir after masked men carried ISIS flags after Eid celebrations last week. Security agencies are still searching for those involved in the controversial rally at the Idgah Maidan.

The men were seen publicly brandishing the flag of the terror outfit. This is the second such ISIS related incident in the state.

Security agencies have not issued a comment, but reports say the Intelligence Bureau has held a high level meeting in Delhi to discuss the issue.

Indian soldiers have died, but we crushed the insurgency. Your soldiers have not succeded.

Americans have been terrible at combating insurgency, but to be fair they were doing it in distant countries.

India has an enviable track record of crushing insurgencies, whether the Kashmiri one, or the much more formidable Punjab one in the 80s. Not to mention all the north eastern ones. There is no longer any force that can wage insurgency against India.

Try to emulate our success if you can.

Not to mention, the results - Indian Kashmir is more peaceful than any part of Pakistan. But in Pakistan, nobody knows which militia controls which territory. Terrorists give press conferences and hold business meetings. The army wages perpetual and futile war, and are busy trying to figure out who the good terrorists are and who the bad ones are. Their country has been described by world leaders as the "epicenter of terrorism", and an "interbational migrane". If only their country had something like our RR!

Pakistan army's special forces have the unique distinction of being the first elite unit in the world to have to do a daring assault of their own headquarters, which was captured by a few gunmen.

I won't post pictures of all those special Pakistani accomplishments, but the whole world knows what they are like. You have a raging insurgency in half your landmass that you cannot control. Operations rah-e-something, zarb-e-something, this-ethat etc will keep draining taxpayers money. On the other hand, India formed the RR in the mid 90s, and the insurgency died. You really shouldn't compare the counter insurgency record of India with yours.

The J&K police, especially the SOG among them, have finished off quite a lot of high ranking terrorist "commanders". Their contribution has been as important as the RR's.
