@Desert Fox @Akheilos you are both respectable members and fellow countrymen. You should not really be fighting like this.
We all have ills as countries, ethnic groups, communities, social groups, religious groups, sects, INDIVIDUALS etc. It's human to make faults.
It's funny how some people feel they can pass hypocritical judgements on other societies meanwhile their own house is on fire. When you show them their own ugly reflection they lash out at you in disgust.
There's a famous saying that if you don't like the reflection in the mirror then don't break the mirror, break your face.
@Desert Fox as a very knowledgeable user about the US, since you grew up there and lived there practically all your life as you wrote, what do you think about my short "analysis" in post 49 regarding some of the problems/challenges that African-Americans face? Is it accurate or nonsense?
As I wrote I am no expert but just giving my own opinion based on what little I have seen with my own eyes and what I have read and can see in the news.
Also I think that we can all agree that such behavior displayed in the video is unacceptable.
I agree with what you said. It is the particular group of people themselves who are to blame for their own negative stereotypes. Don't blame others. Rather than blaming others for not accepting you for being a savage you should try to rectify your own short comings as a people and change your public image. Prove those stereotypes wrong.
But on the contrary African Americans are working very hard in fact, day and night, to promote their thug life drug dealer mafia culture and they have no one to blame but themselves. No one is holding a gun to their head forcing them to listen to filthy garbage rap music (which ironically is made by Black rappers/producers) and shoot each other on the streets and then father 10 children from 10 different women and then not own up to their own offspring who end up depending on government welfare, thus repeating the vicious cycle.
There's plenty of opportunities for Black Americans to progress. In fact they have more scholarship programs than any other group of people bar the Native Americans. They have special seats reserved for their own skin color in top universities and schools.
In fact, a Asian or White male can be turned down from a job position or a university admission even if he is qualified for that position or admission simply because he is Asian or White and that position is strictly reserved for a Black student even if that Black student's qualifications are below standard due to affirmitive action and not merit. Now that is racism.
You'd be surprised about how good the living standards are of these so called "oppressed" Blacks in America. They have all of the basic amenities like gas, electricity, plumbing, repair and maintenance free of cost or subsidized by taxpayers money in government housing. They only pay the rent. Meanwhile most White Americans, who make up the bulk of America's middle/working class, have to pay full rent, gas and electricity bill, plumbing, repair and maintenance out of their own pockets, even under adverse economic conditions where employees are being laid off and good paying jobs are scarce. And yet, these people complain about oppression by the "evil Whitey" when in fact White Americans make up the largest poor in America due to hiring discrimination and quotas.
Anyhow, i have lived most of my life here, and
i have no reason to defend neither blacks nor whites as i belong to neither community. I base my judgements on objectivity rather than bias. I don't gain anything from defending or attacking any particular group of people with whom im not even related to neither do i believe that all Blacks or all Whites behave a particular way. I just find it completely hypocritical that people sitting thousands of miles away are worrying about Blacks in American when in their own country a Shia can't even walk outside without being riddled with bullets because he's a Shia or a Christian can't even go to church without the prospect of being blown up while in prayer or a hindu girl can't even go to school without the fear of being kidnapped and forced to convert and marry a Muslim.
I'm sure, 100%, that if a African American had to choose between living in America as a Black and living in Pakistan as a Christian, Shia, or Hindu, he'd rather stick with his "oppressed" life in evil White American society than be living in the so called "Islamic" Republic of Pakistan (there's not much Islamic about that country if you ask me) where Christians get blown up, Shia's get beheaded and massacred on buses, and Balochi youth get kidnapped on a daily basis.
