Saudi Program Calls for Gender-Mixing, No Prayer Closure

This is the reason why I think within the next 100 years all kind of religious terrorism will end throughout the world.

Unfortunatley, there has always been "terrorism" throughout human history. History repeats itself.

Utopia is for the stoned hippies.

But you do realise that we are living in the most peaceful times in recorded human history with the highest life expectancy and health.

Don’t give too much credit to mbs cos he had to reform due of global pressure to reduce wahabism and end ultra orthodox thinking in Saudi Arabia.

I see the end of days for wahabi ideology.
Good step but reason was not Saudi women but America

This is the reason why I think within the next 100 years all kind of religious terrorism will end throughout the world.
By that time a lot of countries would be dealing with real shocks of climate change future doesnot look bright to me on that side

Even the Syrian crisis has roots in climate change as protests were started by farmers who were affected by severe erratic weather patterns

War, termoil, destruction is inevitably with the human virus inhabiting this planet. We are our own worst enemy.

If the population timebomb isn't addressed coupled with the relentless pursuit of uabaited consumption and the fight for the finite resources is a gauranteed recipe for future wars and terrorism.

Wahabbi ideology is on its deathbed. Has been for a while... Except that most of the world didn't realize it. The new generation of Muslims have long discounted it.
Abdul wahab was a great man. He didn't want this nonsense. Today's wahabis are a curse and declare everything haram

I don't really trust the Crown Prince and all these reforms. In my opinion, he's just making the KSA look prettier for the West while he adopts corruption as his primary goal. He doesn't really care about religion or country, just about squeezing out as much cash as he can. Eventually, their oil money is going to run out and without it, they're back to square one.

It's quite pragmatic, but I'm not going to praise Saudi Arabia for "progress" when it's really just wrapping dung in silk and spraying on some perfume to cover the scent temporarily. I'm guessing he also wants to snip the clergy's power and prevent them from interfering in his businesses(and the easiest way to do this is reforms that strip away religious authority from national legislation, such as women driving and so on).

Agreed; it is all window dressing and trying to carve his own power base

"Eventually, their oil money is going to run out.."
This sentence sold out your real deep envious thoughts and feelings towards KSA.. all you rant is based on it.. and what you are saying can not be further far from the truth and realities on the ground.. just educate yourself about these matters before commenting.. as Saudis themselves are happy with the changes and see them concretize day in day out.. Your daydreaming and wishful thinking is worth nothing against ground realities..And that goes for Oil money too.. you can wait a few hundred years before it is finished..

Anyway..the news is as fake as your comments..

Man you really are a sick person. Definitely a mental case and ego psyciatric challenges from abuse
Ignoring any further messages. Write as much as you want, shows you are mentally deranged and such forums give you all the power to take out your deprived nature values that you lack and blame on every one.

I'd be happy to be educated on the matter. Can I assume, based on your response, you aren't the one with the capability of doing it despite the contrarianism? I mean, if I'm so wrong about oil money, then why is the KSA building the world's largest solar power plant and attempting to diversify it's economic portfolio while the rest of the world begins to move towards green technology/energy?

Or are you going to tell me I'm also envious of all that black oil flowing from their sands, because I'll have to point out I'm more of an olive oil guy.

Well that is good to start with.. KSA have just announced the biggest olive farm in the middle East if not in the whole world.. second, Oil has many derivatives that are essential for modern life of Humanity, and that is a priority for KSA; if a barrel of Oil price is $75, its equivalent in derivatives can reach $400 if not more.. Also diversifying energy sources will allow Saudi Arabia to sell more of its Oil or its derivatives instead of consuming it locally_it is one of the biggest Oil consumers_
I am not here to educate you or anyone on any subject.. I think that you should have done your homework before commenting in that way with ignorance of basic matters you can find out by looking into Saudi related threads on this same forum or looking up the information on the net.. I am sure you'll find a lot of relevant answers..

You're not wrong about the derivatives, but what you are wrong about is that that's what will sustain the Sauds. Most petroleum products are the kind that get burned as fuel and that's where Saudi money comes in. Even if the derivatives are still used, they're not the major use of petroleum. Furthermore, the problem isn't about energy, it's about their economy. Even their "diversified" domestic industries are all subsidized by contracts paid for with oil money. The Binladin Group has billions in revenue, yet those billions come almost entirely from oil money. Saudi Arabia is paying itself by taking out of its left pocket and putting in its right one.

The Saudi Economy will not have a great time when oil drops. Almost all of its industries are tied to funding brought in by the oil. The Saud dynasty however will hoard its cash in offshore bank accounts and when things go to hell, they'll hop on their yatchs or jets and go live in luxury in some Western country.

You are wrong again.. sorry to tell you..but you are making ignorant assumptions again.. Bin Laden conglomerate deals in construction not Oil.. As far as the derivatives go, KSA will make more of them with its Oil, as well as sell the excess Oil, meaning it will be making more money..Even more of it when the energy diversification (Solar, Wind and Nuclear) is put into practice..
You also seem to have some preconceived ideas and false perception of Saudi leaders by thinking of KSA as some banana republic.. this is again very far from reality..

You keep throwing out the phrase "ignorant assumptions" yet everything you're saying is literally...assumptions. There's no explanation of the rationale behind any of what you're saying beyond "nuh uh, you're wrong".

The KSA is a banana republic. The Crown Prince's solution to filling the coffers was to accuse a bunch of people of being "corrupt", arresting them, and then offering to let them go for a few billion dollars resulting in almost $100 billion dollars essentially extorted from people who supposedly committed bribery and corruption(and were left to be totally free if they paid).

If he was sure they were guilty, which would go through the court process and obviously result in confiscation of their funds anyway, then why was he more than happy to let them bribe their way out corruption charges. If your response is, again, going to be something about my "ignorance" or "false perception" I'd just recommend not responding at all because that's getting pretty boring and predictable.
