There is already a railway connecting Pakistan - Iran - Turkey.
Saudi is the largest economy in GCC and Arab world, a G20 member, a significant destination for Pakistani overseas work force and the heavy weight of 22 Member Arab league.

Connecting Pakistan to Saudi Arabia via Iran - Iraq - Kuwait - Saudi Arabia will open a major transit route for trade + pilgrim transport. And can generate thousands of jobs along the lines in each country. It will also allow Pakistan to play a greater role in peaceful settlement of Iraq.

This might be the first step in Bridging KSA-Pakistan
jiwani-to-muscat.jpg

Jiwani, Pakistan to Muscat, Oman, (353 Km distance)

Plan-A, is on strategically important position from both sides and also have enough required infrastructure for constructing bridge & tunnel, it will connect hustle bustle city of Muscat, Oman, in a very short time as “An Hour”, thus it will be then possible for people to take a cup of tea in Oman or Pakistan, within an hour by ultra speed of bullet train, which will be a tremendous achievement & ultimate development, especially for the Corporate World. For Plan-A, the best way of connection is Bridge-Tunnel or Submerged Floating Tunnel, because of its distance & chokepoint, if constructed, it will be the “Longest Bridge or Tunnel” in the world, as this will be the 2nd great honour / title for the Middle East, as the 1st “World Tallest Building” title is also hold by the Middle East.

The proposed Plan-A, will be utilized not only by Pakistan but the countries around the border (i.e. India, China, Afghanistan, & Iran etc), for the purpose of Import, Export & travel, most interesting thing is that the route will also be utilized for “Religious Tourism”, as well as by skilled & un-skilled workers to immigrate across the sea countries for global experience, as the total number of pilgrims (for Hajj at Saudi Arabia), & skilled & un-skilled workers from Pakistan & around the countries are 424,872 & 2,830,500, respectively, which will increase a handsome remittances & foreign investment as part of economic indicator, then, at first, Foreign Investment will increase, due to low exchange rate, availability of reasonable Skilled & Unskilled workers, cheap & fast travel, (within “an hour” visit from Oman), will also attract FDI & Multinational Companies, resultantly, opportunities for growth will raise, eventually GDP, livening standard will be high, in that the “Open Economic System” will start, which will increase the exchange rate. Thus, inflation will decrease and foreign reserves will grow awesomely, which undoubtedly is the symbol of development & prosperity of the Country, business & tourism.

As far as, relations between Pakistan and Oman are concerned, the same are characterized by friendliness, cooperation and common perception over regional and international issues. 30% of Omanis are of Balochi origin, and more than 85,000 Pakistani immigrants’ reside in Oman. However, for more real picture, the Comparative means of transpiration is as under, in which the difference of present & post scenario can clearly be seen:

Thats 353 Km distance of distance and impossible to build any under-sea tunnel..

Plus the purpose of building routes and highways is to promote trade and productive activity across the route..and an under sea tunnel does not serve that purpose..

There have been talks of Musqat-Gawader ferrry service in the past.

Ferry service to Gwadar gets mixed reactions - Oman - Muscat Daily

January 09, 2011
MUSCAT -
Assurances about beginning ferry services from Muscat Port to Gwadar has evoked a mixed reaction from the Pakistani community in Oman. The modalities of the proposed ferry service are being worked out by the officials in Oman and Pakistan. The service was announced by the visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani last week.

Yeah ! and it will pass across your enemy lines ....

Enemy who??
Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia none are at war with Pakistan so far!

I have heard from several people that in the past busses used to run between Pakistan and Saudia via Iran-Iraq...but since the event of 70's much of the route has been destroyed...

Well for Pakistan , it will just be a transit point plus there are already road convoys going via Iran to Iraq and Syria for Shia pilgrims..so I dont think Iran is a point to be questioned here..

There is already a railway connecting Pakistan-Iran-Turkey..so again..passing through Iran is a non issue here..

.
And who says KSA wants more Pakistanis and other non-Arabs entering their country?

.
a bridge hah! Never gonna happen under today's political climate. A bridge would block off the Perian Gulf from large ships, and whoever operates the parts that open to allow larger ships will have HUGE strategic advantage, and that would be Saudi Arabia, because Nawaz would probably relinquish control for a hand full of cash. Even the US aircraft carriers will have to stop for the bridge

A tunnel maybe yeah that's possible. But Saudi's are quite racist towards Pakistanis nothing good will come of it. You have people coming over that treat Pakistanis like trash and hunt the endangered animals, and limited amount of Pakistanis going the other way.

As of today there are no restrictions..beside its not only for manpower but also trade..
Since King Salman took power actually visa quotas for Pakistan has increased while lower productive nations like Philippines have been cut down..being involved in so many government projects I have witnessing myself the departure of Philippines work force...because they are not efficient under the harsh sun of Saudi...

Perhaps this also coincides with the Philippines govt educating their citizens on basic rights and fair employment terms.
Indonesia is also seeking to cut down on sending laborforce primarily for menial jobs like maids and drivers.

Not exactly true...Philippine government can say whatever it wants..the fact that it has a surplus of unemployed people desperate for any kind of work...we even won an award for reducing unemployment and poverty in Philippines by employing 1000 Persons for a government project...

Philippinos make high talented and skilled work force..but they are just not capable to bear the harsh and dry sun of Saudi Arabia much like how a Punjabi , Pathan and Baloch would..its in the genetics..

Why go into genetics? I find Filipinos make much better staff than any other nationality. They out-perform their peers in almost every way.

As far as unemployment goes, KSA has its own share of problems with massively overstaffed Saudis with high wages doing nothing.
