Sick fukk are those who call for the rape and death of Rohingya women and children. I remember Indian comments, vividly, from the time when Rohingya persecution started getting international attention in 2013/14. Indians taking moral high ground.. :tsk:

You are again proving that you are nothing but an idiot. Do you think all 1.2 billion Indians think the same way? I don't represent all Indians, if you are talking to me address ME.

Saudi diplomat accused of using two Nepalese women as sex-slaves - The Hindu

According to the FIR filed by the police in Gurgaon, the two women were lured to India with a false promise of jobs.
India could be trapped in a major diplomatic scandal after a senior diplomat belonging to the Saudi Embassy was accused, along with his wife, of keeping two Nepalese women as sex slaves in Gurgaon.

According to the FIR filed by the police in Gurgaon, the two women had been lured to India with a false promise of jobs, and then sold to the diplomat, who is the First Secretary at the embassy.

According to the statements of the victims, aged 30 and 50, they were held captive by the First Secretary’s family for over three months, and were taken to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a few days as well. During the entire period, the women said, they were repeatedly raped and forced to perform “unnatural sex” for the diplomat and other Saudi nationals, often at knife-point.

An official who was aware of the women’s account of their captivity called the details “horrifying.”

The Saudi embassy, dismissing the charges as “completely false” and “contrary to facts in our possession”, said it would wait for the Indian government to clarify on the matter as per diplomatic norms, IANS reported

An MEA official said the Saudi embassy’s version and that of the Nepalese embassy that has taken up the issue “were different and need to be reconciled.”

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) and Gurgaon police spokesperson Rajesh Chechi said the women were rescued by Gurgaon police after a Nepalese NGO that deals with trafficking heard about their plight from another Nepali victim.

The women had been held in the upmarket residential area of DLF-Phase II in Gurgaon. The Gurgaon police raided the home after the Nepalese embassy in Delhi contacted the government for help. A rape case had been registered, PTI reported, but the diplomat was “untraceable.”

“We have sought a report from the local police,” the MEA spokesperson said.

Officials said they feared the diplomat, whose wife and father have also been charged, has taken a flight out of Delhi already.

An official said that given their diplomatic status “there was no chance” of arrest. “Despite the terrible nature of the crime, unless the Saudi Arabian government waives it, the immunity will protect them completely.”

The victims, residents of Banglung and Biratnagar districts in Nepal, said they had been lured by a woman trafficker to Delhi four months ago on the promise of a job and handsome salary in Saudi Arabia. The two were, however, sold to another agent in Delhi for Rs.1 lakh each and then to the Saudi diplomat, who they identified as ‘Majid’. “Majid first took the two women to Saudi Arabia. The abuse continued after he returned with them to Delhi three months ago and kept them in captivity at his DLF house,” said Bal Krishan, the president of Maiti Nepal India.

The ordeal of the two women came to light when another woman sold to the diplomat 10 days ago managed to escape and alerted Maiti Nepal India that works in the areas of prostitution, trafficking and child labour. The NGO contacted the Nepal embassy and a letter was written to the Gurgaon police in this regard.

The Gurgaon police team then raided the house on Monday afternoon and rescued the women. Mr. Krishan, who was present during the rescue, said the diplomat’s family put up a resistance.

The case mirrors cases of trafficking and slavery in the U.K. and the U.S. In 2011, a case in the U.K. involving two Indonesian women held as slaves by a Saudi diplomat in London had caused an uproar after details emerged of their ill-treatment.

In 2013, another case involving two women from the Philippines, held captive for months by the Saudi defence attaché and his wife living in a mansion in Virginia, U.S., had led to similar outrage.

In both cases, the diplomats could not be prosecuted due to immunity, and a U.K. court ruled that the Indonesian women were not eligible for any compensation either. In this case, Nepal embassy officials said that they were hoping to pursue the case with Saudi authorities, and would help repatriate the two victims to Nepal at the earliest.

There is no other way round. To keep your diplomats safe in other countries, the diplomatic immunity is a must. Unless the country of the diplomat decides to withdraw his immunity, there is nothing one can do. At worst, he can be declared a persona non grata and sent home.

There have been series of issues related to complaints on Diplomats . Be it of French, Italian and now Saudi.

FIR is registered against first rank sec. of saudi Embassy and immunity according to Vienna convention

Diplomatic agent and Member of administrative and technical staff cant be arrested .

Residence may be entered subject to ordinary procedures - no

Typical indian, calling names in lieu of a sane discussion. Time to turn pink. :p

To whom you are defending here ?

Saudi Arabian embassy rejects allegations against its diplomat

New Delhi, Sep 9, 2015, (PTI):

The embassy of Saudi Arabia today termed as "false" the allegations of sexual assault against one of its diplomats and said it has protested to the External Affairs Ministry over "police intrusion" into a diplomat's house in violation of "all diplomatic conventions".

"The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in New Delhi has noted reports in Indian media concerning allegations against a Saudi diplomat and his family residing at Gurgaon, based on alleged briefings by the Haryana police to members of the media.

"The embassy strongly stresses that these allegations are false and have not been proven," a statement from the embassy said.

It further said the embassy has also brought to the notice of the concerned officials in the MEA the "unwarranted media briefings before investigations are complete, and has protested the police intrusion into a diplomat's house against all diplomatic conventions."

The embassy would, however, wait for clarification from the MEA about the matter and the outcome of the investigations into the allegations, it said.

Two Nepalese women have alleged that they were confined and raped by the diplomat repeatedly in a flat in Gurgaon on the outskirts of the national capital after which local police filed an FIR in the matter.

Saudi may be asked to withdraw diplomat
NEW DELHI, Sep 10, 2015, DHNS

India may advise Saudi Arabia to quietly withdraw its diplomat who has been accused of raping two Nepalese women at his residence in Gurgaon near here.

Officials told Deccan Herald that with Saudi Arabia unlikely to waive the diplomat’s immunity, withdrawal could be the only way out for New Delhi and Riyadh to make sure that the incident does not strain bilateral ties, particularly ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to the kingdom later this year.

On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to India, Saud Mohammed Alsati, met Joint Secretary (Gulf Division), Thanglura Darlong, and lodged a protest over the police raid on their diplomat’s residence in Ambience Island Caitriona apartment at DLF Phase II.

Terming the allegations “false”, the Saudi embassy officials argued that the raid, which led to the rescue of the two women, was in violation of diplomatic norms.

The accused diplomat, a first secretary, enjoys immunity from criminal investigation or arrest in India in accordance with Article 31 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961.

An NGO, Maiti Nepal India, alerted the Gurgaon Police and the Embassy of Nepal after hearing about the victims’ plight from another woman who visited the flat recently.

The women said that the residents raped and tortured them and forced them into “unnatural sex”, and even their guests had sexually assaulted them on several occasions.

The women lodged an FIR stating that they were confined to the fifth-floor flat and were raped frequently. Complainants have not named the perpetrators in their statements to the police and the judicial magistrate, PTI quoted Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk as saying.

Virk told PTI that when the police went to raid the apartment, they had no idea about who lived there.

“Soon they realised that the residents were foreign nationals who later turned out to be connected to a diplomat in the Saudi Arabian embassy,” Virk told PTI. The diplomat was at his office when the raid was conducted, he added.

The Saudi ambassador also brought to the External Affairs Ministry’s notice the “unwarranted media briefings” by the police without completing the investigation.

Diplomatic immunity is only for the act which are done for the business they are sent here, i.e. diplomacy...The diplomatic immunity is not for something which was done intentionally and for the crime as serious as this. These ambassadors or diplomats cannot take local law for granted.

No, unless the Saudis explicitly waive off his diplomatic immunity, unfortunately it does protect him from any criminal prosecution as well. It is a mutual obligation which protects Indian diplomats as well. We can, however, highlight Saudi/Arab culture where criminal conduct such as sexual slavery is still rampant.

How can they term it as "false" as though they are judge and jury?

There is no violation of diplomatic law by sending the police into the house. We don't give a damn about "convention" when a desert barbarian is supposedly raping and torturing two women in his house....we will only follow the rules written on paper.....and nothing India has signed says it cannot go into a diplomat's house if he is engaged in crime of the highest order.

His house is not a sanctuary for his perverted crimes.

It looks like this guy is going to go scot-free judging from Saudi attitude so far. Sorry to say guys.

.
The amazing thing is that Saudi gets so much bad press despite their Ministry trying so hard to keep their public image clean. The complaints keep coming from ordinary people, yet nothing in the kingdom ever changes, they never think that they might be wrong, or need to "change their ways" it's all like water of a ducks back.

Oil money, American military presence and pandering to the Wahhabi zealots are the only things keeping that barbarous regime in place. Once the oil money runs out, this "kingdom" will wither away into the sand where it came from.

This issue is some what to spoil India-Saudi relations and the up coming visit of PM Modi to Saudi Arabia.

PM Modi visit to UAE has send nightmares for some powers. Yemen evacuation of Indians was done smoothly and this shows about the relations between India and Saudi Arabia.

I would not hold an entire country hostage to the actions of a few individuals (we have seen enough of that w.r.t India as well in the world media).

However if KSA is unrelenting in changing its attitude and does not a) waive immunity b) prosecute the man and his wife itself c) extradite them back to India later.....Modi really should call off this visit to KSA imho and visit Iran early instead during the exact same time slot.

We do not need to release any diplomatic statement or create any war of words with KSA. Just calmly do this, they will get the message loud and clear.

Enough is enough, ball will be in KSA court soon.....they should not squander this opportunity to keep relations warm with India.

When is the KSA visit scheduled anyway?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to the kingdom later this year. PM Modi should go to Saudi Arabia because both India and Saudi Arabia are members of G 20 and Saudi Arabia is being working with India on the reforms of UNSC. Saudi Arabia has rejected non Permanent UNSC seat of 2 years because of the crisis in Syria and here only is that India which can understand the problems of the Arab world.

From New Delhi’s point of view, there are three aspects to this issue. First, India’s membership of the Council. Second, the nature of the membership. Third, reforming the Council to make it more representative and effective.

India is among the founding members of the United Nations, but this alone does not qualify it for a seat at the high table. There are more compelling reasons. For one thing, with a population of more than 1.2 billion, India will soon overtake China as the most populous country in the world. It is the 10th largest economy in the world and its army is the third-largest globally. More important, it is the third-largest contributor of troops (close to 160,000 soldiers) to more than 40 UN peacekeeping efforts. More than 150 Indian soldiers have lost their lives while serving in UN missions.

KSA also bankrolled Pakistani nuclear program and have supported all kinds of wahhabi extremist thought worldwide. detrimental to all including India.

But even with all this we have forged a relationship with them based on economics and diplomacy....all based on their oil economy.....because what else do they offer to India?

However they should not take that for granted and take no action at all against this criminal. At the very least, compensation should be paid to the victims....it will not be tantamount to admission of guilt officially....but unofficially it will be... and we can move with the overall relationship at the diplomatic level....if they are that against having him get prosecuted (because of the precedence it will set and possibly because of whatever connections he has with Saudi Royal family).

The trip by Modi is "proposed" you say. So it has not been announced officially? Let us wait and see what happens.

Pakistan Nuclear Programme has been supported by Chinese and during the Cold war i mean during the soviet Invasion of Afghanistan , Pakistan was supported by United States and Saudis but with time those relations are at odds because of the changing regional realities.

United States and its allies are concerned because of the growing Chinese power and here Pakistan, North Korea and Myanmar are working completely with the Chinese where as GCC are under US influence along with India.
