And I never said we should match their insane level of spending ($80 billion, annually). We spend $10 billion currently, $20 billion should be reasonable to modernise the military at a good pace. Our air force should not be flying in 1960s planes, our army should not be using 1940/50s tanks, etc.

A wide reaching military modernisation is required. A large, modern air force with all the relevant support aircraft and wielding modern payloads. Mass production of advanced Iranian Air Defence systems. Increased pace of ship building and an aim to build destroyers. Modern attack helicopters, complete replacement of all tanks with Karrar MBTs, modern mechanised forces, new artillery guns.

Almost everything needs to be replaced. I emphasise need.

Now first question Iran in Syria went in on the request of Syrian Gov just like Saudis went in Bahrain on Gov request that is not called invasion. Now imagine Pakistan is attacked by India and Turkish or Chinese armies come in and help Pakistan fight of India. World should be thank ful to Iran for the end of ISIS chapter that was opened in middle east to massacre Muslims. USA being a super power was unable to defeat ISIS if not for Russia and Iran ISIS is almost a late from the past now Lebanon has Hezbollah and Hezbollah consist of Lebanon's nationals. In 2006 the 33 day war it was Hezbollah that defeated the occuping Israeli forces not Lebanon army or some collation from the Arab world. Iran presence in Iraq and Syria is due to direct request of central governments of these countries so it can not be called invasion on the other hand Iran has helped them to liberate their lands from isis and other terrorists groups.
On Yemen and Lebanon, Iran isn't presence in neither of these countries. if you are so sure about that provide us with the number and their location or at least a photo of them.
And could you please tell me how Iran Impacts on people food intake in these countries?!??!
