Saudi coalition gives ultimatum to Houthis

So yes, when it comes to the percentage of Yemenis living in Ansarallah-controlled areas, the figure of 80% is closer to reality than 55%.

How do you explain the fact that Marib, Taiz, Aden, mukalla and Abyan without including the other villages have 10m population.. The 80% claim is not realistic and have been debunked several times. Just check these cities and see how many people it holds and then compare to the whole population you will realize it...

It is more like 55% or 60%.. There are atleast 12-13 million in Yemen gov't held territories where you have like 16-17m on the other side. With 80% of the country in the government control including the oil, ports, Islands and air control.

Where does this figure stem from?

The population of the mentioned cities (metro areas) is as follows:

* Marib: close to 1 million after hosting refugees
* Taiz: 600.000
* Aden: 1,01 million
* Mukalla: 530.000
* Abyan is not a city but a governorate, with about 510.000 people

So that would be more like 3,65 rather 10 million.

If it's the entire governorates you're talking about, then here are the figures:

* Marib: 1 million (estimate)
* Taiz: 2,88 million, of which hundreds of thousands however are living in areas controlled by the Ansarallah-led government, leaving less than 2,5 million under Saudi coalition control
* Aden: 1,9 million
* Hadhramaut (where Mukalla city is located): 2,25 million
* Abyan: 510.000

Giving us a total of up to 8,25 out of Yemen's 30,8 million. Or some 26,8% only, vs 73,2% living in areas controlled by the Sanaa government.

* Hadhramaut (where Mukalla city is located): 2,25 million

You have tried to play with the numbers...
9e7f359c4b03a20c36e4a840e1a4b778.gif

Taiz city is 2.6m now and the governorate is 2.8m

Marib has 3 milion which you hid on purpose and I don't mean the governorate but the city itself..

* Marib: 3 million (estimate)
* Taiz: 2,88 million and 2.6m the city itself which is under Government control.
* Aden: 1,9 million
* Hadhramaut (where Mukalla city is located): 2,25 million
* Abyan: 510.000

Total 10.4m

and that is not taking into account many villages and towns etc etc.. Yemen's population is 29m by the way... Making my estimations correct 12-13m is on the government held area give or take whereas there is around 16-17m on the other side

No, it's that I will go with the more realistic estimate, not with bloated figures put out by the Saudi-backed side.

Here's one:

Look at a satellite picture of the town and tell me how "3 million" are supposed to be packed in that place.

* Taiz: 2,88 million and 2.6m the city itself which is under Government control.

The population of Taiz city is put at 600.000 not 2,6 million. The population density map shows that apart from its western and southwestern fringe, the entire governorate is densely populated all over.

and that is not taking into account many villages and towns etc etc..

What villages and towns? Governorate population = every town and village located within a governorate.

Yemen's population is 29m by the way...

29,83 million and that was in 2020, a year ago. Now closer to 31 million.

We will not let the Saudis win. This is a promise.
@Saudis.. get it out of your heads. You winning over the Houthis and making Yemen a puppet country is impossible. Although we share no borders but from now on we are your neighbors. Merry christmas.

Here's one:

No saudi numbers but the city is a refugee city meaning many people who came from houthi areas have moved there.. All the international estimates have the city at 3-million..

Another thing.. I didn't want to reveal but was waiting for it to bait you with it seems like you took my bait and I wanted to see how far you are willing to go with this analogy instead of conceding...

These 3 governorate are with the Government. I have more in my sleeves but I will give you first this 3..

Lahij Governorate: 975,000
Al Mahrah Governorate: 500,000
Shabwah Governorate: : 668,000

That is 2.1M

* Marib: 3 million (estimate)
* Taiz: 2,88 million and 2.6m the city itself which is under Government control.
* Aden: 1,9 million
* Hadhramaut (where Mukalla city is located): 2,25 million
* Abyan: 510.000

Total 10.4m

We are now total at 12.5m and we are still missing upto 1m-2m

There is dhale governorate which they hold majority of it didn't include it... that is like an extra 300-400k and there more co-shared governorates.

I just gave you a different international estimate putting the number at 1 million. So no, the 3 million one is subject to debate and there's no consensus about it at all.

It may be a refugee city, but nonetheless lacks the infrastructure to host this number, given how prior to the war it used to have less than 100.000 inhabitants.

I didn't fall for any tricks, your language is imprecise and it was unclear what towns and villages you were talking about, whether in reference to already discussed governorates or others under Saudi occupation.

We are now total at 12.5m

Some 10,35 million. About a third of the total population. Assuming 2,5 million out of a total of 2,88 million from Taiz governorate are in Saudi-controlled areas, which is yet to be proven. By the way: of Marib governorate's pre-war population of 488.000, a good portion are living in Sanaa-controlled zones.

Some 10,3 million.

Okay lets just assume Marib is 1m to please you.. there are still 2m to 2.5m within the government areas or saudi occupation as you like to call it putting the numbers at around 12-13m just as I said previously. If we add to the current 10.5m which is your figures then we get 12m to 13m.

There is Dhale, Jawf and many other co shared governorates including Islands example they control the southern section of Al Hudaydah etc etc..

How hard can't it be to just concede that you were wrong there is no shame in that bro

My guess about the percentage of population under Sanaa government control being closer to 80% than to 55% wasn't accurate, but that still leaves it with a comfortable majority of around 60% including the country's capital city. So over six years after the start of the Saudi invasion, no matter how one looks at it, this is a failure for those who promised to come out victorious in a mere matter of weeks.

I don't think so it is a fail when you have secured 80% of the country and still have your puppet leaders and control bab al mandaq..

Nobody can even subdue a building under a week and I don't know why you guys keep quoting..

But nonetheless you gained my respect because you were not afraid to admit you were wrong in the initial consus

What part of "the Saudi authorities thus replaced the pillars with walls that were about 85 feet or 26 meter long" exactly are you encountering difficulties to comprehending? Replacing means taking something's place.

And indeed, all three pillars have been entirely coated, surrounded on all sides by walls built on orders of Saudi authorities since 2004. In other terms, stones thrown are hitting these walls now, not the pillars hidden behind them. So indeed, pilgrims have been prevented from pelting the pillars. All they get to pelt are walls - not the actual pillars representing the three devils which Abraham (a.s.) crossed paths with during his pilgrimage there.

And here is what it used to look like when the actual pillars were still in the open:

As if this weren't enough, another obelisk was built at Mount Arafat... not to be stoned, of course:

One who is constantly trying to lecture others about Islam ought to have known this.

A laughter emoji represents an appropriate "answer" to the evidence I put forth? Tough luck, because everyone can see with their own eyes how the Saudi regime has tampered with the Jamarat procession under bogus pretexts, preventing pilgrims from pelting the three actual obelisks symbolizing devils... What seems to be "funny" to some, should is actually a matter of grave concerns to sincere, well guided Muslims.

Some 40% of the country, population-wise.

bab al mandaq..

*Bab al-Mandab. As long as the Sanaa government is in control of the bulk of the Red Sea coastline, it maintains the ability to target shipping through the body of water.

Khawarij do you even know what that means?

Not really.. Hack even the food that gets cleared to enter the ports is controlled by them.. Nothing gets in and out without them they are completely at their mercy.. It is just one open prison

That's wholly missing the point. You don't need maritime superiority, you don't even need a navy in order to wage asymmetric, hit and run attacks on shipping via coastal ASCM batteries. All you need apart from the weapons and training is access to the waters and that's it.

That Yemen has not proceeded with such operations to date doesn't imply it will be unable to once the dust has settled and the Saudi regime comes to the realization that it cannot defeat Yemen. The capacity is there, it will be expanded after the war, and the geopolitical condition ie coastline control is also met.
