  • 46 Saudi cadets join other nationals from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Palestine and Libya in passing out parade
  • Ceremony attended by Saudi envoy to Pakistan and Brig. Al-Safwan, among others
ISLAMABAD: Military cadets from Saudi Arabia who completed their training from Pakistan’s Military Academy were recognized on Saturday as part of a passing out parade held in Kakul, Abbottabad.

The 46 Saudi national recruits were joined by others from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Palestine and Libya. “Cadets of the 138th PMA Long Course, 57th Integrated Course, 30th Technical Graduate Course and Grade 37 got commissioned as officers today,” Pakistan’s military media wing, ISPR, said in a statement.

The Saudi cadets will now join the Kingdom’s armed forces, a tweet by the Saudi embassy in Islamabad confirmed. The ISPR statement did not divulge any further details, such as the number of Saudi cadets participating in the program. However, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Zubair Mehmood Hayat, recognized the most distinguished trainees by awarding them for their performance.

Congratulating the cadets on their accomplishment, he said: “You will be fortunate to command the soldiers who are known for their unflinching loyalty and sense of sacrifice. Our soldiers are known for delivering best results in the most challenging environment.”

Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki and Brigadier Ali bin Muhammad Al-Safwan, Commander of Arar forces in Saudi Arabia, were among some of the distinguished guests who attended the ceremony.

. . .
They wreck havoc in PMA and are indeed hard to handle. They are given the benefits of the doubt in most cases and the stress ratio of other cadets and allied cadets is very unequal.

. . .
Hows that?
Its better to say "hope it will strengthen our friendship".
Having said straight about influence is an offensive term. If someone do something good for you and say that I hope this will increase my influence on you and your home I am pretty sure you will also not like it.

Get out of ur lala land, it's all about influences. No one is a friend of ours and neither should we be a friend of others. Your own kin before others

We are not saying that to their cadets, its just an observation on a forum. Its one of the perks of training foriegn cadets,u get to have long lasting influence in their armies.

Congrats to Saudia for getting new soldiers
indeed
these soldiers will be good officers and take away what they learnt from PMA. it strengthens the ties between the two forces at professional level.

re picture
very smart kids. just look at the cadets officers in the back.
it shows they have gone through the same rigors of training and hardship like any other cadet

Its a public forum. Everybody can read our observations. I am just trying to say is that this country is giving you billions of dollar worth oil on deferred payments, put his billions of dollars in our banks and investing 15 billion, we should behave diplomatically.

There are no freebies in the international arena. They are giving us investment and defered payments because they seek backing for thier throne by Pakistans military in case of any threat to it. Let go of this thank u sir mentality. They are not doing us any favour, they are just looking out for thier interests and we shall do the same.
