When news like this comes out it certainly puts a dent in theological aspect of things.
Becasue now it officially is being stated

Stuff like Jihad or Following Hadith or teching is not accurate or not important to follow which certainly contradicts the religious aspect of affair, becasue the people who compiled the Hadith are highly reputable member of Prophet's time , alot of these people were confirmed as people of Paradise by Prophet

Diluting the religion is perhaps not the answer however we do need to compare the religion how it was in earlier part of History vs what changes were introduced in 17th century in Arabian continent

I personally have noted the dilution in teaching of Islam already from personal observation i.e when I go search for pillers of Islam on more and more websites I find they intentionally omit the Jihad aspect of religion.

The problem is not even Jihad or the theology the problem is there are leaders in Muslim world who sit on their arses while Genocide occurs in Kashmir , Rohongia Muslims or perhaps we can now even say Syrian muslims

So instead of changing the religion why is the focus is not put forth to resolve crisis in Muslim word i.e places like Kashmir/ Palestine/ Rohongia Muslims / Syrian Muslims etc

Failiures of Muslim Leaders does not mean there is a flaw in region that drastic changes are needed
