Saudi Arabia: Turkey the first guest of honor at the Armed Forces Exhibition "AFD 2018"

You are entitled to your opinion.. however, in the old deal Saudis were taking about Aegis and SM-6..and since that is not technically feasible.. the deal price has changed to half of the original.. in this deal there are also upgrades to the port infrastructure that will host the ships on top of a lot of weapons, support, training and maintenance for a long period of time.. some ToT is a requirement.. not a choice.. otherwise and like what the Saudi ambassador to the US just said a month or so ago in a press conference.. that Saudi Arabia has other choices if there is no ToT for the weapon systems it has bought recently.. it was a message to the US congress circulating rumours about possible opposition to some weapons systems and ToT..
It is expensive for sure.. but no one knows the details of the specs or the ToT involved or anything else about the tailor made US ships for Saudi Arabia.. A tailor made suite is always much more expansive than ready to buy suites..

By the way you paid for development of know-how for LockMart for near future US frigate requirement.

What if that know-how is to be shared? isn't it worth it?

When it comes to defence technology there’s very significant difference between what to be shared and what to be not. You had to find by yourself the difference.

Something is strange with all the missiles you have mentioned.. their range is MTCR compliant.. not one is over 300km.. any other reason?

No need to attract the attention of hostile eyes. Turkey is a state that is developing own satellite launcher vehicles called Burak and own SLV propulsion system called Ümit.

To develop a low orbit SLV, A country must have capability of producing a propulsion units powering up a ballistic missile with a range around 2000km. In recent days, Manager of an institute which is working for Roketsan, gave signal of completion of 1000km in his twetter account.

Navy’s Gezgin VL cruise missile project commenced 2-3 years ago, aiming to produce a missile with a range around 1000km as well.

Air Force’s Som-Er ALCM with domestic propulsion unit also aims to reach a range around 700-800km.

Until those projects reached a level of getting matured, we won’t see anything. It is the secrecy policy of Turkish Republic for some strategic defence missile projects...

There was talk about AEGIS and SM-6.. obviously you are not aware of why the original deal did not get through..
Have you heard the latest news about Germany stopping a deal between KSA and Turkey concerning the "Fertina".. because the engine is German!?
KSA buys what it sees fits its requirements.. you have to think quality..and not always quantity..

Engine issue is the main headache of Turkish industry so Although original products are designed by Turkish engineers, The engine providers block likely deals so, The under-secretariat officially kicked off various type of engine projects to pour money for independence...

TEI: Turbo-shaft/Turboprop/Turbofan/UAV diesel electric
Kale: Turbojet
Tümosan: From 70 to 1000hp turbo-diesel engines with own sources
BMC: 920hp diesel engine + transmission for howitzers and 40t light tank project
Altay 1500hp engine worth around 1 billion $ for development: One of TEI, BMC, Tümosan

TEI TS-1400 1400hp turbo-shaft is one of the most difficult engine project in terms of technology, metallurgy technics.

Diesel engines and transmissions are being revealed for armoured vehicles step by step. Engines with different power requirements are being introduced with automotive subsystems in fairs!
