Saudi Arabia have shown yesterday its commitment of developing and manufacturing of helicopters to be made locally and that is after signing a number of MoU with German companies. And the government of Saudi Arabia is working through KACST of making a mixed engineering team of German and Saudi engineers to work in the head quarters of KACST un Riyadh for Designing developing and manufacturing of Helicopters after KACST signed the MoU with the MK German company. And Dr.Turki bin Saud the Vice-President of KACST that the Helicopters will be made locally and it will be at first of the Civil type which can carry from 3 to 6 passengers at the begging of the development citing that he foresees it hitting the market around 3 years from now.

And KACST have signed yesterday 5 MoU which has as a goal making the cooperation of Technological and manufacturing between KACST with German research companies.

And Dr.Turki have signed the MoU on part of KACST with Roland Kauch The Prime Minister of Hissen State of German and Engineer Mohammed Mathi of SABIC which holds percentage of one of the German Companies and the first paper saw the signing of the manufacturing of the Helicopters.

The second MoU was signed between KACST anf MK Helicopters and SGL one of the biggest companies of Carbon Fiber with emphases on NANO technology involving flight in general not only on Helicopters and the KACST engineering team will be fully involved in all aspects of the Helicopter making with their MK helicopters company counter parts and they will work with them simultaneously in both the Manufacturing locations in Germany and in Riyadh with making of Identical manufacturing areas as of that in Germany. to support the Advanced project which will transfer All the technology and know how to Saudi Arabia and the making of highly trained Saudi hands. And at the same time takes the Saudi Advanced technologies to the Global market.

I am sure if ever the this assembly plant is built, the engineers working in it are going to be Pakistanis. Good try.

thank saudia they will give jobs to ur engieneers, so what if they hire from any country and it is an honor if they trust us

do u think if pakistanies try to do some good for ourselves do our muslim brothers should encourage us or else?

IT IS BETTER FOR U TO ENCOURAGE THEM

I agree. Without Saudis tens of thousands of Pakistanis engineers will be jobless. It is good that they hire them.

Mostly companies like to pay less for foreign workers since they agree in lesser wages than Saudis since Saudi Arabia is more expensive. That is why there is a lot of foreign workers not because Saudis are fat or lazy that is just a myth. The moment Nitaqat kicked in now you can find Saudis working everywhere. It is a bit harsh on Companies and in Workers living in the Kingdom but that is the only way to solve some hundreds of thousands of college graduates without jobs.

Double post....again...PDF's got the Hickups again lol.

I second that. It would be beneficial for the Saudis if they hire their own engineers for the job, but it would be good to see Pakistani engineers participating and learning there as this will be beneficial to our own indigenous industry, we can gain valuable experience and technical know-how on how to build helis.

They won't be Pakistani engineers since we don't have experience in this field.

Remember everyone when I used to say we are on the right track for self sufficiency...This is what I meant. And there is much much more than this. but I am waiting for the right time to Post their threads.
