Saudi Arabia to finance Jordan Eurofighter deal

Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Britain are said to be holding contacts about the possibility of the Saudis providing a financial support for Jordan to buy the Eurofighter Typhoon for the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF). It was far better for Saudi Arabia(300), UAE(110), Jordan(110) and Oman(110) to put there money in the development of EF-2000 in 1990s so that they can produce it in their own countries with their own requirements and Oman would gain a great chance to increase it Air Force from few Aircrafts to about 110-150+ aircrafts.

At the time it was totally impossible. Europeans refused to be sure.

But you forget the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait that will equip also now. And Qatar and Kuwait will do both the same choice as the UAE (second largest member of the GCC).

Even in the event that the UAE choose the ‘Rafale’ -an excellent fighter - instead of ‘Eurofighter Typhoon’. They insist and will have a high technology transfer on ‘aircraft and missiles’. We will (GCC) always win.

As for now no Idea depends on how many JAF needs IMO Not a big number.

If its a small number why don't they buy it themselves ? They, to the best of my knowledge, don't have any significant expenditures putting pressure on their economy ?

What are you kidding me ma man!. Jordan is still facing many economic obstacles needs time at least 2 to three years to re stand on its feet ''economically''. If you noticed lately Saudi Arabia has granted Jordan around $790m out of $2.5b. Also other GCC countries have handed Jordan big chunk of financial aid and pledge more in the near future in order to help out Jordan overcome its economic situation. Jordan may request a big number yes but I assure not at once, they will take them gradually.

Israel is losing big time esp after the arab spring. they have no idea from where its coming, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey and syria after Assad. very telling future...
