I think their prime concern is diversification of military sources. Can't continue to rely on only western suppliers. Typhoon was the last nail in Rafale's coffin in KSA.

Well as the article has said the French have been pushing hard for complete packages. Also they have been stupid with their foreign policy. They lost the Turkish helicopter deal (with a classically **** and pointless law passed) the Tunisian Airforce deal (pushing the Rafale too hard) The Saudi deal is another example of this. So far they seemed to have lost somewhere in the region of $10 billion.

Realistically speaking I do not blame KSA for not buying AK. AK should be purchased on its merit and more importantly on the suppliers ability to deliver. WHile Pakistan can put the Tank together, it still relies on a western firm to provide the FCS, Ukrainian/German/Chinese source for engines etc. Too many things to worry about for a country in the end product. Makes logistics very hard if Pakistan is put under sanctions by any of the sources.

I'm just laughing at the fact that the T-90 tanks were designed for use in winter weather and since when did Saudis have snow?
If they failed on India's heat conditions, how is gonna do on Arabian heat? I hope the Saudis were smart enough to upgrade it or get the right version.

We are seeing Saudis buying a lot of arms, ammos, missiles amd fighter jets, but where they stand when it comes to the world ranking of their armed forces. As Saudi Arabia buys weapons, I think more than India and Pakistan who have a good ranking among world armed forces when it comes to count the strength.
Is anybody there to provide the details or at least the link for the same info?

hey i think it is a good think. This way we will see the tank up close and personal will give the pakistan army a chance to evaluate the damn thing this way we can find out its weakness's and make them work against the indians. i think we should encourage the saudi's to buy the arjun too
