Saudi Arabia mulls NATO-like military alliance of Muslim countries, asks Pakistan to lead

Because Arabs will not get into a military alliance with Iran, just like Pakistan will most likely not get into a military alliance with India. Even though we both have suffered terrorism.

Not inviting Iran does not mean that it is against Iran.
If Pakistan does not accept this alliance it wont be part of this alliance, that would not mean that it is against us.

Even a child can see that the alliance is not against terrorism. KSA is itself is one of the biggest financiers of terrorism and I don't expect Saudi royal family to take initiative to cut down terrorism. This is a clearly show of strength of KSA against Iran. This move has further weakened Islamic unity and not strengthened it. This is petty politics.

if iran is not in it it wont work the saudis will try to hijack the allaince/ship and crash in to it, they have habit of being crazy stupid shortsighted. They lack historical understanding of other countries / culture/ language, they think world revolves around them. game of thrones. look they never step out of thie border / they cant even mop the floor they got indonesian maids to do it which they happily abuse see ummah falls right there no human rights. lets say we do add in iran who is going to do major leading, this will become we are arabs we best or we iranians we had an empire we will lead, then you got the turks who are willing to play group allince inteligently but hot headed. no we need cool headed people with good knowldge in all subjects. oh yh lolz we got brother afghanistan which loves pakistan alot.

.
My two cents.

Pakistan should avoid this like plague. The only thing Saudis are good at are investing billions in wall street, keeping 20 odd thousand people at LM/Boeing employed, treating women as second class citizens and stirring up s***t in Shia countries. Belgium allowed them to fund religious centres in 1970s, and now Molenbeek is epicentre of terrorism in the Europe, southern Punjab’s cotton belt is producing radicals instead of cotton, and this is all due to so called Saudi funded religious centres who only preach hate.

No one gonna help Pakistan, it has to stand up on her own and finally this realisation happening now, and not involving in Yemen conflict was one of best decisions by Pakistan. You may or may not like NS but you can’t doubt his political acumen.

This Muslim alliance is all baloney, and best way to test the real intention to ask if Iran, Iraq and Syria can be included. Saudi’s want to be the undisputed king of Islamic world and trying to use Pakistan because of its friendly relations with the Islamic world and military capabilities. They look down on subcontinent Muslims and use Pakistan to push forward their own hidden agendas.

Pakistan needs to remember one thing, you can’t change your neighbours no matter how powerful you are. Iran is already under Indian influence and you can’t to afford to alienate her even further.

Let me ask you a simple question. If Indonesia is under threat are countries like Pakistan more like to come to your help or countries like Britain and Germany or Holland?

i hardly believe pakistan ever comes to the rescue. what's happened in 1945 does not happened twice. we don't rely on others, we have ourselves. over the time, help and aid comes because they come. fyi, i don't think we ever requesting help from other countries when it comes to solve our own problems.

*facepalm*

really? if that's the case then how come indonesia does not become a muslim country in the first place then? heck, why not let the DI/TII take control of the country just for hell of it? the answer is really simple, because they don't.
your logic is that if they're muslim then they MUST support them, as you keep going all dense about. funnily muslims disregards and keep killing other muslims in most places in the world day by day. the only thing it ever happened is when people are stupid enough (heck, they are still backwards) to disregard what's sukarno's been painstakingly achieve during the asia-africa conference. in that case, they've shamed themselves by their own foolishness.

How old are you....? Maybe you will witness more and more conservative Indonesian Muslim in the coming years,

DI/TII is something irrelevant....... It is a rebellion of what our founding father has agreed, and many Islamist leaders are our founding father, even the first National Organisation to fight against Dutch is the Islamist one

Sarekat Islam, formerly Islamists Trade Union (Indonesian: Sarekat Dagang Islam), was a cooperative of Javanese batik traders in theDutch East Indies and a predecessor of independent Indonesia. The group was founded by Haji Samanhudi, a dealer of batik, in 1905 inSurakarta[1] or 1912.[2] Sarekat Dagang Islam, or Union of Islamic Traders, had as its goal the empowerment of local merchants, especially in the batik industry. The establishment of the organization was inspired by the Jamiat Kheir organization.

As Sarekat Dagang Islam grew, it was reorganized under the name Sarekat Islam. Sarekat Islam's general office was in Surabaya. Early prominent figures of Sarekat Islam included H.O.S. Cokroaminoto[2] and Haji Agus Salim. H.O.S. Cokroaminoto had three famous students, who went on to play a dominant role in Indonesian politics: Soekarno the nationalist, Semaun the socialist and IslamistKartosuwirjo. Haji Agus Salim joined Sarekat Islam in 1915 and promoted Islamic modernism. Some of Salim's students such as Kasman Singodimedjo, Mohammad Roem and Mohammad Natsir later became prominent Islamic and Nationalist leaders.

I want to ask this....

There are Muslim in Western European and USA, but they are minority

European and USA are not Christian country as well, Vatican is, so why do they have the right to protect Christian as like you have just said, and Indonesia cannot protect Muslims......?

You have little knowledge about Islam, lad.

Muslim countries is a definition of Muslim Majority country.

Christianity were born and raised in Europe and over the time they DO help them. it is true that they don't do bother with religion anymore, which is a good thing. while they're going forward, muslim countries are destablizing themselves.

and no, i don't need knowledge about islam. it's nothing more than a religion. my religion cannot control me. I Control my own Belief. i'm not an arabian weaboo, you do.

When I went to Makkah I confront some Arabs there (seems like a Salafi) who comes to the Masjidil Haram mosque by using sandals inside (before carpet), and I also confront the Mosque Guard who used shoes in side The mosque. It seems only me who is brave enough to do that at that time.........

Some Salafist follow what the prophet does in the old time since Prophet uses sandals inside the mosque but the mosque floor was sand not ceramic like Today......o_O

you're Dense, aren't you? it's worse than talking to a wall of bricks.

if your muslim (your Muslim, not MY MUSLIM) is conservative, then again, why they can't Into Islamic Law in the first place? FYI, DI/TII wants indone to adopt islamic law, same with GAM and yes, they ARE relevant as much as religion concerned.

does those statistic ever says anything that needs them to be allied with muslim countries? nope. it only shows the importancy of Religion in one's life, not how about blowing themselves out to mess with other people's problems. irellevant much?

Do it,

Nonsense talking in here too much...

Better do much in real life, I have stated my own opinion and many Pakistani/ Arabs/etc now will know some truth about Indonesian people, I represent some Indonesian, and you do as well,

No one is questioning your ability to rely on yourself. What i asked was a simple question which you are failing to understand.

I disagree. Muslim countries need to show unity. This is a show of division. You may rightly say that this is not a leap but a token gesture but even that gesture means a lot and shows we are in the camp that seeks to target shias and Iran.

It doesn't show division, you see the division.

I compiled the data for 21 Islamic countries by highest GDP (nominal terms) that have NAVY. I excluded Nigeria. I named this the "Defense Treaty of Islamic Countries", or DTIC. Then I compared data for DTIC with that of India, China and USA. The data shows DITC can easily be considered a Super Power. [The source of data is Global Firepower.] This is the summary of the data-

Pakistan should first put forth some key conditions before agreeing to such an alliance. This better not be a veiled attempt to create an alliance against Iran or something.

Some conditions should be:
- All Muslim countries should be able to participate if they are willing. This includes Iran and its allies. With this it would give everyone a fair chance instead of some particular group(e.g. GCC) working towards its own interests.
- Member countries must work on interoperability and hold joint exercises regularly.
- with the member countries' consensus this alliance should commit some troops and equipment(like in case of the coalition force in Afghanistan) to be deployed in regions to prevent genocide(like in Myanmar currently).

Indeed Muslims(Muslims countries) together are very powerful...but we lack unity. This alliance is a welcome step in the direction of such unity(if executed correctly) but it would take a long time before such a level of interoperability is reached to make it an effective and powerful fighting force.
