Saudi Arabia beheads fourth Pakistani in two weeks

Well, that depends on whether you are beheading with a blunt or sharp blade. Human nature is as such that without the fear of actual harm they do not change. It may be a very pessimistic view of mankind but for now I see little proof of us evolving beyond those ideals.

To give you an odd example. When the series Star Trek: The next Generation was being developed.. there was a Q&A session with the cast. Now for those who are not aware the lead is Patrick Stewart(Dr Charles Xavier from X men) who has been bald since his twenties.
A reporter(or fan) asked him a rather cynical question that why is he bald when clearly someone would have figured out the cure for baldness in the 23rd Century. The creator of the series replied with a very nice rebuttal that in the 23rd Century whether you are bald or not will no longer matter in your social perception.
However, that little interaction gives a straight forward clue to the ever existent negative mentality within humanity. That the man found his baldness objectionable.. hence if such petty issues are still a concern.. then susceptibility to all other evils is as well.
Till mankind crosses that path where it has grown beyond its prejudices.. there will always be a need for strict tempering.

Faith in humanity.. I do not possess.

I can understand your attempts at rationalising your baldness my Brother ! :(

@HRK & @waz bhai can understand your pain better as fellow baldies !

Come to think of it I'm genetically predestined to be bald as well otherwise all the Kashmiri men in my family wouldn't be bald ! :undecided:

nawaz is Kashmiri he is bald like his father and brother

Obviously having a prisoner repatriation agreement isn't on the minds of our PM.
I have no sympathy for drug traffickers but apart from executing this mules
have the KSA authorities bothered to go beyond the lower tier and check who are the kingpins in KSA who are receiving these drugs and then distributing them? would the names be too big to disclose?

these drugs are definitely meant for domestic consumption and that too among the very affluent people who can pay such a heavy price of drugs that are soaked with human blood.

I will like to see if any Saudi member can share any busting of drug cartel or a ring and news about any punishment for the distributors/ bosses and ring leaders?

to me it looks like the entire Saudi anti narcotics operations starts and ends with capturing foreign laborers from south and far east Asia and then executing them on Fridays.

well this is getting annoying, we should do something about this
We should focus in developing Pakistan and the many problems we have, rather than putting our sympathies and attention to some drug smugglers who are stupid enough to smuggle drugs into Saudi Arabia.

Sorry Buttsy.. But im the opposite.. Ive got too much hair .. everywhere..
Baldness has this odd habit of targeting the second male heir more predominantly.. or at least earlier...maybe you'll survive getting married to a Pundits daughter before your hairline starts to show the white flag and make a retreat.

Beheading is just fine for smugglers. They bring bad repute to their own nation so these executions serve as an ominous warning to all future drug smuggling attempts out of Pakistan.
Such punishments can only be applied in rich countries. No punishment can deter poor people in third world countries from commiting crimes;on the contrast such punishments desensitize people.Even Saudi is unable to contain this drug smuggling .61 cases of beheadings is not a small number. What it indicates is that there are many drug consumers in Saudi and drug smuggling is rampant.not all who does drug smuggling is caught and punished, otherwise you would not see these many beheadings.

Do the accused get to defend their case properly? Are they provided with a defense attorney?

I wonder
also i wonder why no boss or ring leader is caught or punished? why just the mules? why not let the alleged mules go to their receiver and then capture the entire gang making the order?

does it get too political too closer to home for authorities? I wont be surprised
