I just find it funny that the article says Qatar's Royal family support for sunni extremists group MB is because Qatar is after the the longevity of people-powered political movements.
Really? Are you serious. Qatar monarchs supporting the muslim brotherhood for islamic democracy?
Dude, if that is the case then Qatar's current monarch (who's father led a couple to topple his own father. Lol) should start by resigning and disbanding the Monarchy and then call for nation wide open and free elections to elect a democratic leader. If he can do that, then we can start talking about how serious he is about support sunni extremists groups for "democracy".
I have nothing against Qatar though , having visited the country I must say it's citizens live a very very good life and it's a very wealthy developed country (just like it's other gulf neighbours), can't say the same for other muslim countries in the region though. So I give them credit for that
Even so, funny enough, some here will say Qatar has been a source of trouble for the region(depends on who you ask though).
Since , this small Gulf state has played a substantial role in promoting the Arab Spring(some call it Arab winter) by lending significant support to rebels who ousted former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and to an uprising seeking to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power(reason Syria and Russia label MB a terrorist group). Funny enough Iran doesn't, it instead supports them passively in one country and opposes them in another. Interesting.
