Saudi and French fighters get Familiar (F-15C vs Rafale)

Here's an option: buy the USAF Golden Eagle upgrade program, in which old F-15s would be retrofitted with AESA radar and more multirole changes. That would be benign to RSAF's budget yet it would be tremendously helpful in light of regional tension.

Yeah the F-15C/D of the RSAF are long overdue for an upgrade, maybe they will be pulled from service once the F-15SA arrive but I sure do so hope not. They are still the flag ship of Air Defense of the RSAF and getting the Golden Eagle Upgrade all around for them will mean that RSAF will be deploying the F-15SA, F-15Cs and Typhoons for for Air Defense which is regionally speaking quite an over-kill.

French probably let RSA guys kill them. No Western air force will reveal its true capabilities in exercises.

Or may be crappy French pilots fought against best RSAF guys....hence the score was 3-3

F15 appears so outdate vs Rafale not to mention probbaly have all low performance missiles as well

And the F15 Look they have not been washed / cleaned or maintained for ages

The depot visit doesn't happen after every flight like a car wash. You have to fly so many hundreds of miles to qualify for a depot visit / maintenance, repaint and overhaul. If you see these planes after that, they'll look much cleaner and newer.

Also, -15's are the top air superiority fighters among today's jets. These exercises don't allow use of live missile launches against each other so thus, you are seeing standard sidewinders for self defense or smoke winders in some cases. If this was a prep for War or a Combat scenario, you'd see these babies loaded up 4-6 AMRAAM C's and D's. And that's as advance as you get. The SA version will have much more from an avionics standpoint.

Just out of curiosity can you gentlemen give your anylisis on F-15SE vs Rafale
@Horus @The Eagle @Quwa @Oscar @Irfan Baloch @Bilal Khan 777 @C130

this is very difficult since I really don't know much about their capabilities so take this with a grain of salt

Price-F-15SE wins. It's cheaper to buy $100 million vs Rafale anywhere from $150 million to $200 million

Air to Air- No Idea Probably Rafale this is difficult to say since a lot of factors come into play

Air to Ground- F-15SE I pick the F-15SE because it has a larger variety of A2G weapons than the Rafale. though the Rafale AASM https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AASM is way better than JDAM and Paveway, but it's $200,000 price tag is hard pill to swallow (not good for just killing rats). If it's for a strike mission against a high priority target I would pick the Rafale armed with 6 AASM or 2 Storm Shadows.

Avionics- Radar- F-15SE APG-82(V1) 1500 T/R against RBE-2 AA(1,000) means it's more powerful.

EW- Rafale Spectra is legendary, and no idea how the F-15 DEWS stacks up to it http://www.baesystems.com/enus/product/digital-electronic-warfare-system-dews

IRST- Rafale since it's internal, while the F-15SE IRST would probably beexternal. though a external IRST should be more powerful since it can be scaled better than an internal one

Future Growth- Tie but learning towards Rafale both aircraft have a good deal of users from multiple countries, F-15E with U.S Saudi Arabia,South Korea,Singapore, Israel and Rafale with France,India,Egypt, and Qatar. So both will surely keep getting updated for the next two or more decades.
