Naval authorities had informed media on Thursday that an incident of material failure in the high pressure air system on board a naval vessel berthed alongside at Visakhapatnam had taken place. They allegedly recovered the body of the sailor and it was shifted INHS Kalyani at Malkapuram.

According to sources, the sailor is allegedly working in one of the nuclear submarines of the Indian Navy. Naval authorities informed the local police and lodged a complaint on Thursday. But there was no official mention of the vessel name by the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) authorities till the date. OMG it was a nuclear sub accident? That is serious. The explosion was so bad it made a hole in the sub? wtf. Russia sold you guys these Subs didn't they show you how to maintain them?

Sad that know about the death of a soldier.
Glad to know that an Indian submarine got damaged.

These high pressure system on vessels can be very dangerous.
During my days working on ships , there was an incident when a hydraulic line leaked on a heavy lifting stulken Derrick. It was right under the arm of the seaman who was operating the winch and the hydraulic oil came out with such a force that it penetrated his skin and went up his veins. He didn't survive.

Fortunately submarine did not even get a scratch.
Hose of a pressured air delivery vehicle ruptured throwing a soldier into water.
The only damage was to the vehicle.
