Saif Ali Khan's Grandfather desperately wanted to merge Bhopal with Pakistan

Bhopal..Isnt it the same place that saw the worlds biggest industrial disaster..16000 people killed due to a gas leak in 1984 and people still die today because of the aftereffects. the point is not to make fun but sympathy for the deceased ones and those folks who knew the calibre of the land-dwellers who couldnt run a damn factory properly..https://www.theatlantic.com/science...ndustrial-disaster-is-still-unfolding/560726/
The disaster was largely the company's fault, they didn't provide proper facilities and training to employees. The article you posted said that. UCC even paid 47o million in damages, which is now almost 1 billion

What does that have to do with the topic?

Had Bhopal been part of Pakistan there would have been no such disaster. Many innocent lives would have never been wasted. You cant put this on white guy and move on..The staff that run it was sloppy and was local. 470 million inr is peanuts for UCC to shut some mouths..

UCC owned the majority of UCC India limited, which makes it responsible for the actions of its subsidiary. Even if bhopal was part of Pakistan, the same facilities would have been used, as UCC was in charge of all actions of its subsidiaries. Not to mention it is the responsibility of the company to provide training to employees. It's not surprising that UCC had to stop operating in India.

And what makes you think Pakistan has magical standards? This happened just a few years ago.

Oh, and like I said, when adjusted for inflation, the amount UCC paid was almost a billion dollars adjusted for inflation. That is no small amount of money, and the fact UCC paid that much means they were worried they would face bigger penalties if they didn't settle.
