Safoora Goth is an Afghan dominant enclave

My purpose of opening this thread is to inform members outside of Karachi who are not familiar with this city is that this area, Safoora goth, is well known among locals as area with large Afghan population or population of people from tribal borderlands, it's always been very dangerous which firing incidents and criminal robberies, many muggings occur in this area, it neighbors the middle class towns of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar near the Safari park, almost all of the robberies and muggings that happen in Gulshan and Gulistan are done by gangs from Safoora Goth, and more often than not the criminals turn out to be from a certain nationality.

The media is not reporting this, and liberals on social media are ignoring this, ironically there was a piece in the tribune on the plight of Afghan refugees in Pakistan yet ignorance of the fact that today's massacre of Ismaili-Pakistanis occurred in a ghettoe that is inhabited by that very ethnicity, any western media would've immediatly mention the demographics of a town if it was dominated by Muslims or immigrants, but here our media and intellectuals are silent or ignorant of this fact.

Still waiting for the day when afghans are sent back to their country. Im not a karachiite but if i have to name a city which needs to be cleansed of afghans first its karachi. Afghans have made every major city dangerous. Remove afghans from peshawar and it would become as safe and clean as lahore or even islamabad. Im from islamabad and most of the house burglaries are done by afghans by most i mean all of them

Last year in september a 19-year-old name Adee Siddique was shot in his chest and bled to death right in front of his mother, it was a mugging gone wrong, he had resisted but the muggers had no mercy, the incident happened near Safari park close to Safoora goth and the killer turned to be from a gang near by from another Goth

"Investigations police claim to have arrested a suspect responsible for the murder of 19-year-old Adee, who was killed at pointblank range during a robbery near Safari Park.

The accused is an employee of a private shopping centre and is a resident of Juma Goth. Police are conducting raids to arrest his accomplice.

Gulshan-e-Iqbal police arrested the accused, identified as Saeed Khan, son of Omar Khan Kakakhel, from University Road near Safari Park, and seized a pistol and four bullets from his possession. An FIR No. 478/2014 was registered against him, on charges of weapons’ possession and robbery, at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station.

According to the police, the accused hails from Quetta. Investigations officer Abdul Rehman Mirani said that the accused admitted to have committed the murder of Adee Atif, son of Talha Sadiq, on September 8. The accused confessed that he, along with his accomplice, Sherbaz Khan, committed the murder during a robbery bid near Safari Park."

Nationalities of the terrorists[edit]
The Pakistani intelligence community conducted an investigation to determine the nationalities of the terrorists, whom the FIA determined were all foreign fighters. The identities of six of the gunmen were released:[26]

• Abu Shamil (also went by Abdur Rehman)— A Chechen fighter and thought to be the ringleader of the group.
• Nouman Shah Helmand — An Afghan citizen from Helmand Province; the U.S. had placed a $500,000 bounty upon Shah.
• Wazir Alam Herat — An Afghan citizen from Herat.
• Khatib al-Zubaidi — An Arabic speaker and an Egyptian citizen.
• Mohammad Zahedi — An Arabic speaker and a Moroccan citizen.
• Jibran al-Saeedi — An Arab of unknown nationality.

Afghan war refugees should be confined to camps while their businessmen should be under supervision and monitoring. In Karachi it seems to me , all small kind of criminals are encouraged when they see MQM getting away with it. As MQM started ethnic wars, so each ethnicity in the city is harboring some badmash criminals , who can be proved useful if situation turns ugly in case of riots. I might be wrong, but i think if you kill MQM, the rest will wither away.

They are involved in carjacking and drug running. Ask anyone in Chakwal, Attock, Pindi etc. Local opportunists might have joined in the loot. That's why the local police is highly suspicious of anyone who looks like a "pathan".

Pakistanis have to get united against Afghan infestation of Pakistan. We have been ignoring this menace for way too long and after introducing drugs, weapons, ransom, extortion, and introducing all sorts of crimes, stealing business from Pakistanis, these Afghans are now killing our children, our future. Please spread the message 'Afghans Quit Pakistan' across using whatever source available to you. We cannot leave things on our inapt governments, time has come for Pakistanis to get united. Stop doing business with Afghans, socially boycott them so they are left with no choice but to go back from where they have come.

I dont agree, Pashtuns are viewed suspiciously , even monitored by sada libas walay, in Pothar and rest of Punjab due to Terrorism/Taliban factor.

Yaar they have been involved in car lifting as far as Chakwal. Most of the lifters are Afghan, but qabaylis are also known to be involved in it. Of course, I'm not saying every qabayli is a car lifter, and I probably shouldn't have included qabayli in my message to not hurt the feelings of some patriotic members from that region, but it's also the truth that some of them have been caught before in car lifting gangs.

Regardless, I will edit qabaylis out as I don't want to send the wrong signal. Qabaylis doing crime is tolerable, but Afghans, not so much.

Apologies to qabayli people who might have gotten offended by my earlier post. I was wrong to judge the entire community because of a few rotten apples.

Why? Qabaylis got some certificate from Allah that they could do whatever they want and nobody will be raising fingers at them? We do not think twice before labeling entire Mohajir community as terrorists and you became so apologistic for using the word Qabayli? These Afghans would have never made it if they were not overtly and covertly been supported by the Qabayli of the FATA. BTW, the person you are apologizing to is an Afghan ghus bethya not Qabayli.

The crimes they do are of a rather blunt nature. The crimes we Potoharis and others do are more of a cunning, hidden nature like corruption in government departments, army, eating commissions etc. Name one ethnic group in Pakistan, which does't commit crimes. When I'm not judging my own kind because of corruption of a person like Raja Rental, I was wrong to judge their entire community for their bad eggs. Are qabaylis any less Pakistani than me and you?

As for the Afghans, them committing crimes is highly intolerable. If they committed crimes in a western country, they'd be deported straight away.

I have heard that car-lifters through out Pakistan, of various ethnicity, sell the stolen cars to Qabailis and those of PATA (provincially administrated tribal areas).....the blame is on FCR, mafroors run away to FATA due to lawlessness and the locals are obliged to provide asylum to asylum seeker according to old Pakhtunwali code. FCR has to be abolished and there is no need of conducting census for that.

Not at all, but then law should be same for everyone. Besides, how you'll feel for Punjabis or Sindhis living in the borders areas for providing shelter to the intruders from Bharat? or Baloch for letting people infiltrate from Iranian border? Not very good I guess? Afghans managed to get themselves establish in Pakistan primarily because of the FATA tribes who happen to have 'relationships' across the border. They need to be asked if they are loyal to Pakistan or Afghanistan and decide once for all.

If I'm not wrong that Safora Goth is one of enter/exit route to Malir Cantt Army check post? There is another one on model colony side, few of our relatives use to enter from SG side to get enter in Cantt area when they visit us ( when I visit Pakistan ) but for go back home in night they used model colony check post to exit coz they were afraid to cross SG area in night time, long route to go back home instead of short via SG.
