That 400.000 infection is just massive, even USA will not be able to cope this outbreak 1 weeks from now since they dont prepare for this and keep playing down the possible outbreak for the first 2 months it stroke China. Their ability to treat current patients are already spectacular with this outbreak magnitude.

Chinese don't have democracy. If government says it's a lock down from tomorrow, than it means it's a lock down. Government commands and people follow. In USA there are right, freedom, democracy, where government can only request citizens to limit their movement and citizens whenever will agree can follow than. That has been real cause of this unprecedented outbreak in USA. That's my understanding.

Because in US the water supply is controlled by the government. In India, people still use groundwater. So, if a dead body is on the ground it's a perfect spot for virus and bacteria to grow as the body turn into the gluey stuff later mixing with groundwater and spreading any infection.

Lockdown was only imposed in china after they came to know about it and virus had more than one and half month or may be two to spread unchecked moreover most of the cases were concentrated only in wuhan and there were very few cases in adjacent provinces which is also surprising given the time virus had. Moreover chinese cities and towns are much tightly packed and population density is very high as compared to USA. So even after lockdown it had a lot of potential to spread inside buildings and flats

The other thing that will be very sad is that all of those people who lost their live due to this virus are not accompanied by their family during the critical period, and it will be a devastating for anyone to think if it happen with kids under 10 years old.

Reason for mass graves seems to be to avoid infection. Otherwise, the relatives would have arranged for a proper burial themselves.


Incineration and burial (with proper precautions, like keeping the bodies away from the water sources and habitation) are both acceptable.

Incineration-kills virus/pothogen instantly.
Burial-less polluting.

The leeching issue with burials may not be important in the case of coronavirus.
