Recovered cash in the form of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes
Cash worth nearly Rs. 73 lakh in now-defunct denominations of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 was seized from two cars near Nashik, police said on Thursday.

The police found Rs. 32,99,500 in one car proceeding to Kopargaon, Niphad police station in-charge Ranjit Dere said. And, another car — carrying Rs 40 lakh in cash — travelling to Vaijapur in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district was intercepted, he said.

Following the cash seizure, the cars were impounded by the police, Mr. Dere added.

most of these burnt notes are fake currency and are burnt deu to fears of ever growing raids by CBI , CID , IN and IT sleuths which are and will remain in hyper active mode against blac money and fake currency hoarders for at least till 30th march 2017 ;)

just for starting ever since 9th november 2016 close to 3.2 lakh corore ruppees in bieng deposited in varius banks deu to this step by modi govt so if i billon US dollars is 6780 corore rupees then 3.2 is close to 48 billon dollars and its not even half way mark and big fishes will only come forward when two weeks will remain from deadline till the they will keep trying to find "other ways" rest you can speculate yourself
