Engine is supplied by some Austrian company currently.It will be replaced by an Indian engine in future.

It survives on tot just like bel,bhel,nhpc,ntpc,mtnl,air india to name a few.

Only the oil psu's are profitable in india,technically even hal and bel too make a profit but due to jobs they get under tot so it dosen't really count.
