Despite historic past, Russia did help Iran through sanction period, through negotiation and even offered barter deal to cope with sanction. It is Russia that is pushing Iran membership for SCO. Without Russian engagement (offcourse Russia has its own interest in Syria), terror war waged by west-house of saud- zions could have moved inside Iran by now.

What is the reason Iran made 180 and end Russian use of Hamadan? And the way it was done was abrupt and with visible dissent. This type of reaction is not normal towards a close partner (for sure not towards a strategic one).

This will definitely put Aleppo liberation and that of Syria in question beyond US election in Nov. And if there is no military win in Aleppo by Nov US election, Iran will have to pay the price. Vultures of neocon, zions, military industrial complex and house of saud - all are pushing to linger Aleppo past Nov. Is there section of lawmakers in Iran who like to keep door open for US by pushing Russia out? Is Rouhani/Zarif duo and their backers in Majlish more eager to hold american hand instead of russian?

Law are for change considering extraordinary circumstance and for sure Iran military leadership has that consideration in mind but same can not be said about political leadership.

As for "leaking photo" Iranian airspace is heavily monitored by long range radar, satellite and other recon process. Any aircraft taking off from Iran are known by US and its allies immediately by its type, heading, mission etc.. Russian planes taking off from Hamadan were already know to US and others. So, leaking did not have any material impact into "secret" that was already known.

Nothing has been reversed. The fact is it was a temporary use of Iran's base for their Tu 22s. They did what they wanted and now they are gone. If you recall the same stipulations were all over the news when Russians moved some of their troops out of Syria. Back then, western backed media started chanting about Russia changing course and pulling out. Now we know it is not true.

There was some objections from politicians inside Iran as the constitution bans commitment of any Iranian bases to foreign forces. That's why Iranian authorities explained that Russian presence is not going to be permanent and they will soon be gone after their mission is done and that is what happened. Both sides have confirmed that this cooperation will be repeated if and when necessary.

The fact is both sides of the war in Syria are constantly talking to each other to see if there is anyway they could meet each other half way and finish the war. So far, there has not been any success in that. I think above meeting has also taken place in the same context.
