The new model looks much better. When I first seen the new model I new something was different but I could not figure out what until you posted a comparison.

The Boomerang has gone a long way since the BTR, notice the drivers seat appears to be leather and very comfortable. Big improvement over some of the old Soviet metal bucket seats. The Boomerang is also very spacious and has a large ramp door, the opposite of a BTR. With the V-shaped haul I suspect that the boomerang is mine resistant to a degree. I also looks like it has oblique armored that may have empty cavities to help defeat RPGs. Interesting to see if they will add cage armor in the future to further increase survivability.

The other is a 130 mm M1954 (M-46) field gun mounted on a 6x6 truck with a rear hydraulic stabiliser. The truck appears to have a locally produced armoured cab.

Egypt's Abu Zaabal Engineering Industries Company produced large numbers of towed D-30 and M-46 guns in the past. They have maximum ranges of around 15 km and 27 km respectively. Although this is increased to 22 and 37 kilometres with a rocket-assisted projectile.
