China they cannot do anything to and India also cannot be sanctioned as they need it vis-a-vis China.

Once enough "Global South" countries either use India to bypass the sanctions or just ignore them they will have to admit defeat. They cannot sanction more than a select few.
The current inflation will look tame compared to what is to come.

China and India now have big economies to go with their giant land mass and population.

Which means west is fucked unless China and India go along with them.

As a western citizen, i am astonished how shortsighted our political class have become.
I suspect, much of the strategy is devised by people who are broilers and political opportunists. Who are there to just show off so that they can harvest higher positions, money and fame.

The period where we had stoic leaders with logical long term thinking, and were capable to implement those policies, seems to be history.
In the end all this is happening while most people are sleepwalking, because of our higher living standars and correspondent complacancy.

Here in the UK you get high office due to who you know rather than what you know.

The last Prime Minister that actually got the job on merit was probably Margaret Thatcher and she left in 1990.

Says it all about why the West is in such a mess these days.
