Depends on what is “most” - urban educated . Most deplore it but engage in it on females outside their household. Having a mother or sister isn’t a moral compass for most people.

Based on number of missing girls and women, the sex trade, "honour" killings of women, number of assaults on females, sex diseases women are forced to carry etc.
