Russian fighter jets intercept U.S. F-22 Raptor flying over Syria

Quantum radars will become widespread. We can count on that. All major military powers will have them soon enough. X band VLO days are numbered but are still extremely useful today. Defeating quantum radars and newer generations of detection methods will be the new game.

Metamaterials show some opportunities for this which is why China and US are pouring the time and money into that field, leaving the rest in the dust. But China will likely sell these radars all over the place to erode US military dominance. The more players that present a military threat to USA, the better it is for China. China's intention for the world isn't to dominate and dictate to the rest of the world like USA but to create a competitive multipolar world where Chinese feel we can stay at or near the top because we are happy to play that game rather than the US game.

The only reason I think China may export these technologies is if they develop ways to counter it using newer materials and stealth technologies. X band VLO is 100% understood and mastered in theory. Only challenge is embedding the theory into actual manufacturing and airframe design. All of engineering is about optimizing compromises. China doesn't want to hurt its own stealth effectiveness but does want itself and others to have methods of countering US stealth. This all applies to Russia as well with their own counter-stealth programs.

Whether this image is real or fake doesn't matter. No Su-35s and F-22s/F-35s have been shot down in Syria. We won't know how effective USAF stealth is and how effective Russian counter stealth is. Recently there is a claim from Chinese forums that an Israeli F-35 pilot told Israeli media sources that his stealth fighter was painted by Russian radar, likely S-400. This happened when he was far outside of Syrian airspace and he immediately turned around to avoid the risk. Could all be made up because cannot find any sources suggesting this in English speaking world but these news pop up occasionally.

Look at those MASSIVE all metal verticals ! Then look at the TINY all-composite ones on the su 57
You know nothing but just to blabber about western tech, Su-57 has small tail because they also using 3D (pitch & yaw) thrust vectoring nozzles, whereas F-22 using 2D thrust vectoring nozzles that's why F-22 using larger vertical tails as a backup if TVC nozzles fails and how do know F-22 vertical tails have no composite materials on it, you have know clue what is you talking about @Frostbite :hitwall::crazy::hitwall::crazy::blah::blah::blah:
