Russia has immense leverage on Syria and Israel. Both are on good terms with Russia. If Syria invades Israel or Israel invades Syria, Russia will play middleman and get them to stop.

There is no Iranian army in Syria, some members of it's state militia, reports suggest several hundred to a few thousand. There is no threat to Israel coming out of Syria. It manufactures 'worries' just as ploy to permanently annex the Golan. They wouldn't do any peace deal in the past, such as with Egypt, had US not threatened them to do so. Egypt was crucial to US interests and they didn't want to jeopardize an potential ally. Everything else, Israel still occupies and defacto annexed.
